Princes and princesses alike will love the newest rotational dining restaurant offered by Disney Cruise Line on the Disney Wonder.

Tiana’s Place is now included with Triton’s and Animator’s Palate, and brings to life Tiana’s dream from “The Princess and the Frog.” This restaurant was added during the Wonder’s dry dock refurbishment in 2016.

I absolutely love how Disney truly can take a scene from the reel world into the real world. Just like other venues, Tiana’s Place truly feels like you are walking into the restaurant seen at the end of the animated film.

Attention to detail abounds, from the dishes to even the kids’ menu. My youngest loved having a paper trumpet menu – once he’d decided on his meal, he pretended to play it.

Each dish on this menu is also reflective of the movie. Offerings include a Cajun charcuterie board, Mama Odie’s Creamy Tomato Soup with Cilantro, Roasted Creole Half Chicken, and Big Daddy’s Prime Rib.

Be aware that if Creole spices aren’t something you enjoy to make other arrangements on the night you are scheduled to rotate to this dining room. I am not a big fan of Cajun cooking, but did find I enjoyed Mama Odie’s Creamy Tomato Soup and Big Daddy’s Prime Rib – the soup was only slightly spice, and the Prime Rib was perfect.

Tiana’s Place has a performance while you dine by Tiana herself and the Crawfish Crooners. Little ones will enjoy having the show to watch, and especially when the servers and Tiana parade around the dining room for a Mardi Gras parade.

If you have children (or adults) who are sensitive to noise, then you may want to dine and exit prior to the start of the parade. It gets loud, and makes it very hard to hear your tablemates.

TianaTiana and Louis make their rounds around the dining room to greet guests. Be sure to have your camera and autograph books ready for this brief encounter.

Depending on the length of your cruise on the Disney Wonder, you will get to dine at Tiana’s Place at least once. If you’re lucky, you’ll have two opportunities to enjoy this fun food experience!
