A Family Feast at Pizzafari

A common decision to be made when it comes to dining is whether or not to enjoy a leisurely sit-down table service meal or a faster quick-serve meal. While sit down meals are relaxing, they often take a good amount of time. On the flip side, counter service requires waiting in line, carrying a tray and searching for a table. When spending a day at Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park, you can have the best of both worlds at Pizzafari Family-Style Dining. While this location is known for counter-service pizza, at dinner time your group can also enjoy a sit-down meal and reservations can typically be made in My Disney Experience.

Upon arrival to Pizzafari, there is a separate and well marked check-in station for those with a family style dining reservation. Your party is given a menu which lists the inclusions for all - salad, pizza, dessert and your choice of soft drinks. Your family can customize the rest of your meal by choosing from a list of meatballs, bread and pastas.

Upon checking in and ordering, you’re seated at a table with your party. A Cast Member will come over and your drinks are brought to you. Our experience were large cups which left plenty to carry out of the restaurant after our meal. Along with drinks, you’re brought Caesar salad and Caprese salad to start. Your pizza and custom choices are then brought out a bit later. Finally, cannolis round out the meal.

When utilizing the Disney Dining plan, this large meal utilizes Quick Serve credits only which is a great perk! In summary, this option is a fun choice for a slightly atypical dining experience. I’d love to help you plan a trip including a day at Disney’s Animal Kingdom! Leslie@wishesfamilytravel.com
