You will actually get more for your money if you stay at one of Universal’s onsite resorts.

There are two dry theme parks and one water park within Universal Orlando Resort:

Universal’s Islands of Adventure
Volcano Bay is a water park! (a really amazing one!)
Universal’s parks and hotels are very close together.
You can easily get around the resort by walking or using Universal’s internal transportation. The parks are right next to each other! So even if you’re not planning on riding the Hogwarts Express, you will want the Park to Park option on your tickets. You will definitely use it!
