A Royal Dining Experience
Megan Kline7.16.19Cinderella’s Royal Table is one of the most popular character meals on Disney property. This wonderful dining experience is two credits on the Disney Dining Plan and features breakfast, lunch, and dinner. My family and I had an early lunch reservation. We were able to check in and sit in a waiting area with other families who would be dining with us. Each family is able to meet the main Princess herself, Cinderella, before entering the dining hall. A photo pass photographer is on hand and able to take pictures for you. Cinderella will also sign any autograph books. After you meet Cinderella you are whisked into the royal dining hall.We were seated near the windows of the castle and enjoyed a splendid view of Fantasyland while we dined. We were using the Dining Plan while visiting so both my husband and I were able to enjoy an adult beverage with our lunch. I enjoyed the peach Bellini while my husband enjoyed a Belgian style dark ale. The three course meal features some of the best food I have ever eaten on Disney Property. For the first course my husband enjoyed the Charcuterie Plate; he is a meat and cheese kind of guy so this was perfect for him. I enjoyed the Castle salad which was awesome! Both children choose the cheese and grapes for their first course and the mac and cheese as their main course. They both enjoyed their food. The entrees are plated beautifully and my salmon dish was simply cooked to perfection. I have a strict diet and some places can be challenging for me when eating on vacation, but this meal was purely perfect. My husband enjoyed the beef and shrimp and was very impressed with his meal. Each guest is given a magic wand or sward, and a wishing star, which makes a great souvenir. As we wrapped up with our second course the Princesses started to enter the dining area one by one. There is never a guarantee on which Princesses you will meet, aside from Cinderella. Here are the potential princesses you could meet: Princess Aurora, Princess Jasmine, Princess Ariel, Snow White and Rapunzel.Meeting characters during a meal is always an added bonus. You are able to get one on one time with them without having to stand in line or feeling rushed. I was able to get great photos of both children with each princess, and even jumped into a few photos myself! It is easiest to have your little ones sit on the end closest to the characters to make it an easy experience for everyone. We always have our autograph books out on the table opened to a blank page with a marker ready to go.After we met each princess we wrapped up this wonderful experience with dessert! The build your own cupcake is the perfect treat for children. They really enjoy creating their own mater pieces. The Clock Strikes Twelves featured a wonderful chocolate ganache which was the perfect end to our wonderful meal.If you have any questions regarding character dining please reach out to me at megkline@wishesfamilytravel.com I would love to work with you on your next magical vacation!
