A Tantalizing Treat for your Tastebuds

This is an experience that goes far beyond just what you see, but the interesting and incredible things you will taste. You will get to try some of Penelope, and her robot, Jacque's creations for yourself.

You have seen the pictures online, you have probably even seen the magnificently mouthwatering milkshake photos, and now you have made the reservation. You have waited and now the time is here for you to experience, the Toothsome Chocolate Emporium Feast and Savory Kitchen.

I walked in and was greeted by the hostess who is dressed in a late nineteenth-century Steampunk dress. Escorted into the clean, but odd, industrial factory where you will be guided to your table. The menu is varied and pays particular attention to a wide range of unique chocolate options such as chocolate chicken wings, bread and a cocoa pork tenderloin.  On my recent experience, I could not help but ask about the story behind the restaurant.

The story goes that the current owner, Professor Doctor Penelope Tibeaux-Tinker Toothsome had parents that were inventors that loved to travel. They were globe-trotting adventurers and they passed that love onto her. Penelope traveled all around the world herself and experimented with all types of foods by infusing her favorite, chocolate into them. She desired to share her new creations with the world so Toothsome Savory Feast and Kitchen was created. You can see some of her treasures from her travels as they adorn the steampunk-themed factory.

I have been here multiple times and it does not disappoint. It is now always on my “must-do list”. On my first trip, we rearranged the entire trip just to eat here again. My kids would drive the eight hours just to eat here. Ok honestly, they would just be driving down for the shakes. They are a food group all in themselves. However, I am getting ahead of myself. I ordered the salmon and jasmine rice and it was fabulous. I love how all of the flavors blend together for a symphony of culinary satisfaction.

After the Salmon, I had also tried the shrimp macaroni and cheese. It is indescribable as well. Everyone at our table loved their entrees which included the berries and creme crepes, the brisket burger, and steak. All the meals were correctly prepared and wonderful. Then it was time to move onto the main event, dessert.

They have huge mouthwatering milkshakes such as The Espresso Buzz, Chocolate x 5, Brownie, Key Lime, and Thrilla in Vanilla. These are handcrafted and each one has some specialty signature. I have tried the Espresso Buzz, and The Might be Mint. Both were a party in your mouth from the first sip to the last. When you are finished, you get to take home the souvenir milkshake jar. I would strongly suggest going and washing it out in bathroom first, but they make wonderful souvenirs and reminders of the best milkshake out there.

They also have many fabulous sundaes. The one I tried was called May Contain Nuts and boy did it.

I have someone in my house with a nut allergy, I do not get nuts often, so this was a special treat. My oh my, it was amazing. The sounds coming our table as my friends and I indulged in this delectable delight were almost obscene. It was that delicious. I highly recommend trying something sweet at Toothsome Chocolate Emporium Savory Feast and Kitchen. This is a must do every time!
