Unlocking the Secrets of the Luxury  Experiential Value of an Adventure By Disney Vacation - Part 2Adventure By Disney AccommodationsBy Rebecca Jones  Aug 2016When you are traveling on an Adventures by Disney vacation, you know that everything will be taken care of, including your hotel accommodations.  Disney considers everything when deciding where to stay, from linens to amenities, from bed configurations to locations, to pool availability to affordability of surrounding restaurants.  All of the hotels you stay in during an ABD trip are going to be 4-star or 5-star locations, as I learned recently on my Adventure by Disney trip through Czech Republic, Germany, and Austria.We began our tour in Prague, Czech Republic, at the Marriott Hotel.  This location is a 5-star hotel, and is centrally located in the older part of Prague.  It is within walking distance to the train station and the subway system, so venturing out on your own is easy and comfortable.  The restaurant had a fantastic breakfast buffet, offering made-to-order eggs and omelets along with pastries, fruit, and standard European fare, that was included with our stay each morning.  Our room had two double-size beds, and in-room coffee service available.Our next hotel was the four-star Edelweiss Hotel in Bertechsgaden, Germany.  This quaint little town in the middle of the Bavarian Alps was almost a dream come true.  The location was top-notch, right in the middle of the shopping and restaurant district, so exploring the area was easy and inviting.  We were welcomed to the hotel with a local specialty drink – apple juice with sparkling water – and invited to a five-course dinner that evening.  The Edelweiss also has a children’s area available, so this welcome dinner is typically adults only while the Junior Adventurers play and do crafts somewhere else.   While some guests were concerned with the lack of air conditioning in this hotel, because of its location in the mountains, it was never unpleasant. We had a balcony that we felt comfortable leaving the door open to, and the cool night air was a welcome relief from the warmth of the day. We had two twin beds in our room, along with a small sofa and desk.  Robes, slippers, and pool towels were also available in the room. The Edelweiss also has an indoor pool, rooftop whirlpool with fabulous views, top-floor restaurant, and full-service spa available. Breakfast was also included each day, with a wide variety of pastries, fruit, and juices available, along with a different made-to-order surprise each morning – waffles, crepes, or pancakes, to name a few.Lastly, we stayed at the Ritz-Carlton in Vienna, Austria. Talk about a stunning property! From the moment we arrived at this five-star location, the staff did their very best to impress and assist us.  Located right on the Ringstrasse, home to all the shopping and restaurants you could desire, this hotel was amazing!  Breakfast was available each morning, whether you chose the buffet, or to order from the menu, it was all included. The rooms were so comfortable, with robes and the best amenities in the bathroom, and nightly turn-down service that included bottled water, chocolates on the nightstand, and slippers right next to the bed.The Ritz had a rooftop lounge, with stunning views of the Vienna skyline, as well as a full spa.  The hotel itself was in a classic building, and the architecture in the stairwells could leave you staring up and down for several minutes.  The service was outstanding.Each morning that we were scheduled to leave a certain location to travel to a new city, our luggage was taken care of for us.  We simply put it outside our hotel room by a certain time, and it was whisked away to our next location.  Upon arrival, our suitcases would magically appear in our room very quickly.  We never had to worry about pulling our bags through the hotel or that they wouldn’t arrive in our next destination.  Whether you are staying at the Marriott, the Edelweiss, or the Ritz-Carlton, the guests’ comfort and experience are the most important thing to Adventures by Disney.  The cost of these hotels is included in your vacation package. The locations of the hotels are prime for convenience for families.  They are located near restaurants, shopping, public transportation – everything you need for a successful vacation.
