Be Our Lunch Guest!

Missy RyanDecember 31, 2015f-26-15-8803518_njF0iEmW_BOG2Be Our Guest Restaurant in the new Fantasyland is the best counter service option (in my opinion) in the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World. It is also one of the hardest reservations to get (fact)!Be Our Guest offers counter service for both breakfast and lunch. Dinner is a sit down service and is equal to one entitlement on the dining plan. Due to how popular Be Our Guest is it is required to have a reservation at both sit down and counter service meals.I am choosing to discuss lunch because with my large family this counter service restaurant was delicious, quick, easy and fun!Lunch is offered daily from 10:30-2:30. The menu is based on a French cuisine and yet satisfies the little ones as well. Some meal options offered are, but not limited to, Fresh tuna Nicoise Salad; Warm seared tuna steak served with grilled beans, potatoes, olives and roasted bell peppers.  Turkey Baguette (my favorite), nothing too fancy and although it is prepared with French flair you will without a doubt be asking for more.  The Vegetable Quiche; made with mushroom, zucchini, bell pepper and onion (another favorite of mine!) Slow cooked to perfection is the Braised Pork. It is sure to have you wanting to make another reservation! For the children they offer Grilled Cheese with Tomato Soup. My children would eat there every day just knowingthis would be their meal. They also offer Mickey Meatloaf (of course shaped in no other than Mickey himself), Macaroni with Marinara Sauce, Roast Beef Sandwich and Turkey Sandwich for the children. All children meals come with choice of low fat milk or bottled water. Portions are based on children who are 3-9. My younger ones were very satisfied and always had room for dessert.Desserts range from Strawberry Cheese Cupcake, Triple Chocolate Cupcake, Lemon Meringue Cupcake, Chocolate Cream Puff, Tropical Fruit Cream Puff and then the most popular,  The Master’s Cupcake. This is a Chocolate Cupcake topped with Lumiere’s special “Grey Stuff”.  It REALLY is delicious. Don’t believe me? Ask the dishes! You may notice as you approach the library a cast member will hand you a rose. From there you are directed to a self-touch computer screen. Prior to ordering you will scan the rose that you were given. This will be how your meal magically appears at your table!f-26-14-8803518_WelJoH4v_BOG1Cast members are efficient in getting meals served as quickly as possible. Food is transported in glass cover trays. As they are pushed through each room the rose locator indicates which table receives which meals. I honestly adore this part of the experience. It is much like a sit down meal without the sit down price tag. Gathering all my children is one thing. Then having to grab trays is another story. At Be Our Guest I am able to order easily and be served liked a princess.Be Our Guest has three areas to dine. The Mysterious West Wing is not only dark, but you will also experience thunder and sounds of lightening as you eat. You will find the famous rose protected on an isolated table encased in glass as it waits for Belle to fall in love with the Beast.Opposite of the West Wing is the stunning Rose Gallery. The elaborate décor continues to wow us as we get swept up in the romance of Belle’s private library, showcased by larger than life figures of Belle and Beast dancing in the center of the room.In the middle of the two rooms is the Grand Ballroom. This magnificent ballroom has high domed ceilings and chandeliers that hang from above. With snow laced arches and flying buttresses painted above you have no choice to feel as if you are royalty yourself. As I stated earlier Be Our Guest is one of the more popular places to dine. It is almost imperative to take advantage of making reservations at your 180 day mark at 6 am. If this is on your Disney Bucket List but 6 am computer traffic is not your cup of tea, contact me at Wishes Family Travel.I will be more than happy to grab my own cup of tea to ensure you can be a guest at Be Our Guest!
