Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique: Where Fairytale Dreams Come True

Shaina Brainard5.28.19Dreams come true at Disney’s Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, where young girls can receive the royal beauty treatment or even be transformed into their favorite Disney princess. One of these elaborately themed salons is located inside Cinderella Castle in Magic Kingdom Park. My daughter recently had the pleasure of taking part in the most memorable of makeovers, and I had the best time making these sweet memories with her.Upon entering the boutique, we were welcomed by a cast member to check us in for our reservation. Then we were escorted to a waiting area where princess dresses, available for purchase, were beautifully on display. We were handed a binder to look at the many different makeover options available. Since we brought our favorite Cinderella gown with us from home, it helped us narrow down the packages considerably. Makeover packages range in price, starting from around $65. And even our favorite little princes can be transformed for as little as $20. We settled on the basic Crown Package which I felt was a great value. Once we made our selection, we were assigned to a dressing room. My daughter changed into her princess dress, and we were given a very cute ballerina pink cinch sack to store all of her clothes. The dressing room was decorated with some fun princess art, a beautiful mirror, and a large velvet bench making even the youngest of princesses feel special. After changing we were introduced to our fairy-godmother. She was wonderful and friendly, and truly seemed to pay attention to my daughter. She placed a pretty, pink sash on her and took her to seat. Immediately a Disney photographer was there to capture the transformation.The makeover started with the hairstyling. They sprayed her hair and did a great job styling it into the classic princess bun we had decided upon. I was surprised that the fairy godmother was gentle enough that my daughter did not shed a tear, which is a frequent occurrence in our household, even with standard hair brushing, so this felt like a victory. She placed the tiara upon her head and her hair was complete. It was done so well, I knew it would hold up to my daughter’s liveliness. Truth be told, she slept in it and it still looked well enough to wear to a princess breakfast the next morning.After the hair styling, the fairy godmother applied light make-up and nail polish to finish out the look. My daughter was so excited to be able to pick out her own colors and even more excited that she was able to take the silver glitter nail polish and child-safe make-up palette home with her.Finally, the fairy godmother completed the transformation by waving her magic wand above her head and sprinkling some glittering pixie dust over her. They gave her a beautiful handheld mirror to check out her new look. My daughter’s smile was from ear to ear, she could not have been more excited. We were then escorted to check out, where we paid for our services and also purchased an adorable pink princess sweatshirt they fitted her for, so that she was not chilly that evening. But, that wasn’t it! After the transformation you can hop into the princess shop next to the castle for professional princess-themed photo shoot. If you have Disney’s Memory Maker photo service, all the photos are included. This was worth the cost of Memory Maker alone, as these photos are priceless! But make sure you allow plenty of time for these photos as the photographers do not hurry through them, so if there is line - you may wait awhile. But I will always treasure the sweetness captured in these photos, so it was certainly worth the wait. Once we were done with photos we were on our way back into the park to enjoy our evening.Overall, Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is what little girls’ fairy tale dreams are made of! But It is important to note that this experience is very popular, so it is strongly encouraged to have a reservation, particularly for this highly sought-after location.
