Breakfast with a Side of Wishes

I enjoyed the new character breakfast at 1900 Park Fare inside Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort during my holiday trip to Walt Disney World in November 2024. This restaurant reopened after being closed for four years with a newly reimagined theme, décor, characters, and food options.
At first glance, the characters available to meet seem random: Mirabel, Tiana in her new adventure outfit, Cinderella, and Aladdin. BUT, when you realize you are attending a breakfast for wish makers, it all comes together.
Once an hour, guests at this meal will participate in a wish-making celebration narrated by Jiminy Cricket! It was nostalgic and reminded me of my favorite fireworks show, Wishes, so I loved this. Jiminy instructed everyone to hold their wishing card in the air while he led us in a group wish. He told us that “some wishes are granted right away while others take a little time, but that everything we need to grant our wish is already within us. We just need to believe in ourselves.” The celebration ends with "When You Wish Upon a Star” playing throughout the dining room. *Cue the happy tears*
The character interactions were great and did not feel rushed. Each character came over to mingle, talk about our wishes, and pose for photos. The cast members were great and friendly as always. This is a GREAT opportunity to meet Mirabel without a very long line, meet Tiana in a new outfit that you can’t see in the parks, and also meet Aladdin and Cinderella, who are also very popular and have longish wait times in the parks.
I also love the new portraits around the dining room. Each one captures the scene of a character making a wish in their film whether that be Cinderella talking to her Fairy Godmother, Rapunzel with her lantern, Geppetto wishing on a star, and more! The portraits are beautiful and contributed to the overall theming nicely.
The food is a pretty standard Disney breakfast all-you-care-for buffet. Standouts included the pull apart cinnamon bread, the cheesy potato casserole, and the cheesy eggs.
Would I go back? Yes, but not a go-to every trip. It’s a nice experience with characters in one of my favorite resorts. The vibe is positive and upbeat, and you will leave feeling happy you experienced a breakfast with wish makers. You will also leave with a pre-autographed card as a souvenir. I do think there are more unique food options at other breakfast venues across the property, which is why I would not make a reservation here on every trip.
As of February 2025, this character dining experience is only 1 Table Service Credit on the dining plan, and it is an excellent use of that credit!
I told the cast members my *wish* is that one day meeting Jiminy is included in this character meal since his wishing ceremony ties the whole theme together. I think that would put the character experience over the top.
