Celebrate Dessert: Happily Ever After Dessert Party
Missy Ryan8.22.19Magic Kingdom is a place I can enjoy all day, just by walking around and marveling at the beauty of the castle and happiness in the air. It is during those times that my best memories have been made. With each visit I like to add a new activity, adventure, food, etc. This past February I was lucky enough to experience the wonderful dessert party, Happily Ever After.We chose the garden dessert party. The check in is seamless and quite easy. You are truly made to feel like you are a VIP. Upon entering, you are given a band to show proof of purchase. The area has wall-to-wall desserts and food. Not only were we spoiled by treats such as:
- A s’mores station
- Ice cream station
- Decorate your own cookie
- Disney theme cupcakes and snacks
- Disney’s famous macaroon cookies
- Chocolate covered strawberries, cheesecake and fruits.
…but there were also cheese trays, crackers, veggies and dips and cheeseburger rolls with special sauce. I was thrilled to have been able to try the cheeseburger rolls. If that isn’t enough to blow your taste buds away, you are also invited to raise a glass of your favorite beverage to toast your day of theme park adventures. Drink selections include;
- Sparkling Cider
- Hot Chocolate
- Signature Lemonades
- Coffee
- Tea
My family and I truly enjoyed all of the special treats. I would highly suggest only having a light dinner prior to the party. There are so many options and you do not want to pass any of them up!After enjoying so many wonderful desserts and beverages you are escorted to the reserved Plaza Viewing Garden location on the Tomorrowland side of Main Street for the fireworks show. There is another viewing area option that is an increase in price, which would be the Tomorrowland Terrace itself. We really enjoyed the Garden Area though. I was able to bring my stroller in and pick where we wanted to sit as we prepared for the Fireworks. Another suggestion I would make is to be sure you are getting escorted at least 15-30 minutes before the show. You can arrive at show time but then a lot of the viewing area will already be spoken for. Also, it is a good idea to note that the guests not in the reserved area will still be standing in front of this area. This will sometimes give obstructed views in certain areas.Overall, I was extremely pleased by this event. My stomach was not only full, but so was my heart. I enjoyed every aspect of this party from the themed desserts, to the create your own stations. Of course the best part was viewing the most breathtaking fireworks from a space that was not cramped or crowded. The memories I added that evening with my daughters and my mother were precious and irreplaceable.There is always something wonderful to see, taste and experience when traveling to Walt Disney World. I would love to talk more to you about the dessert party or other activities that you can immerse yourself in while enjoying this beautiful park.Please follow me on Facebook.
