Club-Level Luxury at Disney's Wilderness Lodge
Shaina Brainard5.24.19After many Disney vacations, on our last trip we decided to stay Club Level at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge for the first time. We had never stayed Club Level, and although I had heard about all the benefits, we had yet to experience it. And now, our time spent there was such a treat, I can certainly see why people choose to stay Club Level every stay.About a week prior to our stay I received a phone call from the concierge at Old Faithful Club. He went over the details of our reservation, gave us some information about the club, and asked us some questions about our preferences. He asked if we had any needs, allergies, special requests, or celebrations. He also gave us his direct contact number in case we thought of anything before our stay.On the day of our arrival, we checked in with the front desk so they could escort us and all of our luggage to our room and give us a tour of the club. At Wilderness Lodge the Old Faithful Club is located on the top floor of the resort, overlooking the beautiful lobby, pool, and Bay Lake. The cast member showed us the specific elevator to access the club, as well as around the club, introduced us to the concierge in the club, and then showed us to our room. They gave us a business card with a number to access the club directly during our stay should anything arise. And in our room we were greeted with a nice letter from the general manager of the resort, a hard copy of the Old Faithful service times, and an adorable chocolate shaped like the iconic Wilderness Lodge Mickey totem pole. I was impressed with the warm welcome and level of service from the beginning of our stay.One of the highlights of our Club-Level experience was the food offered in the club throughout our stay. Each morning we were able to enjoy a leisurely breakfast before starting our busy days in the parks. My children were able to load up their plates with fresh fruit and juice and settle into an adorable child-sized table and watch some Disney cartoons. In the afternoon warm appetizers were offered in the club, although because we were busy in the parks we were never able to enjoy these offerings. If I were to do it again, I would make our schedule more open in the afternoon to relax in the club and enjoy these treats because the menu looked delicious. It is a truly great benefit for families with young children or even adult guests that break in the afternoon.The highlight of our club service were the nightly snacks and drinks offered in the club. Each night desserts, coffee, beer, and cordials were offered in the lounge. Because we had an amazing view of the fireworks at Magic Kingdom from our room, we would settle little ones into bed, grab some dessert, such as warm berry cobbler, and some cocktails and relax on our balcony for the fireworks show. I felt truly spoiled. It was so nice to wrap up a busy day with a relaxing night.The other main benefit to our club-level stay was the service. Each morning we woke up to a printed copy of our daily itinerary with all of our trip details such as Fastpass times and dining reservations, as well as other important information such as weather. While we were there my daughter had an appointment at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. I mentioned to the concierge that I forgot to bring the little invitation from Cinderella and the concierge designed and delivered a beautiful invitation, addressed to her from Cinderella, adorned with Disney Princesses. My daughter was so excited and I was so impressed and appreciative of this unexpected service. Finally, on our way to dinner one evening, my daughter fell and consequently, we were running late on time. My husband was able to call the number on the business card and the concierge contacted the restaurant for us, told them of our situation and then called us back to check on us and let us know the restaurant would be ready for us upon our arrival. It was so nice to not feel the stress of worrying about losing our reservation, but instead having an easy contact that was willing to take care of our needs. The concierge is ready to serve at any time and they seemed busily working on guest requests and needs every time we were in the lounge. The service was certainly top-notch. We had nothing but exceptional service and amazing experiences while staying Club-Level at Wilderness Lodge, and I would highly recommend the service to those who enjoy having access to luxury accommodations, delicious treats, and top-notch service during their vacation.
