Disneyland Paris: Newport Bay Club Review

If you are looking for an onsite property to stay at while visiting Disneyland Paris, one of my top recommendations is a stay at the Newport Bay Club. I stayed here in February 2024, and I would not hesitate to stay here again or have my clients stay here!
The nautical theming is very similar to WDW’s Yacht Club mixed with Disney Cruise Line. You will notice the carpets as you walk the halls are like the carpets on Disney ships. Even some of the merchandise in the gift shop is the same!
I opted for a 2 Queen Water View room. The water you are facing is the lake you walk around to get to Downtown Disney and the theme parks. This means you also get a view of the giant hot air balloon that floats over the property and Downtown Disney as well.
The walk to the parks is an easy 10 minutes. In those 10 minutes you pass multiple breakfast / dining spots including Starbucks. If you are a collector of Disney Starbucks mugs, this is the shop where you can purchase those.
One amenity that is included at this resort that I love is that every night there are characters greeting guests just off the lobby. What a great perk for guests staying onsite! For kids (or their parents) who want to beat the crowds out of the theme parks or have an early night in, this is a great way to end the night! These lines are also significantly shorter than the character lines in the parks, so there is no need to use theme park time on characters when you can go back and meet them at your hotel later. The characters are also dressed in nautical outfits to match the theme of the resort.
Dining at this resort is also good! There are not any quick service options here, but we loved visiting the Captain’s Quarters lounge for a late-night drink. Our dinner at Cape Cod Restaurant was also good and perfect after a long day on our feet. This is the only restaurant where I have ever seen Mickey-shaped Brie served and this ended up being a highlight for me. Sometimes, it’s the little things that stand out most! For those that wish to have a meal included, we can secure you a Club Level room that will give you access to breakfast each morning. I opted not to do this because I wanted to take advantage of Early Park Entry.
