Disney’s Beach Club Resort: It’s the Beachy Best!
By: Kelly RodriguezJuly 25, 2017Here are the many reasons why our family loves Disney’s Beach Club Resort. First and foremost, the pool, Stormalong Bay! It is the best on property in my opinion. At three acres, it is huge but is also very family friendly. It has a zero entry pool with an all sand bottom. There is also a “sand box” area for the kids to play. Stormalong Bay also has a gigantic water slide with a shipwreck theme, and on the back of the water slide is a smaller version for very young children. Stormalong Bay also features a lazy river where you can get single and double tubes and float the day away. Tucked behind a rock area, and making them more private, are the whirlpools. If Stormalong Bay couldn’t get any better, they also have Hurricane Hanna’s. This is a quick service dining option located by the pool. You can actually sit in your chair and be waited on pool side. My favorite way to vacation! The second reason why we love Disney’s Beach Club Resort is for the dining. Cape May Cafe offers a fabulous dinner buffet that offers many delicious seafood choices, including their famous crab legs. Dessert is also a wonderful experience. I would recommend their crème brulee, it is incredible!Cape May Cafe also offers a fun character buffet breakfast with a beachy theme. Meet friends like Minnie, Donald & Goofy all dressed for a day at the beach. Who doesn’t like to start their day with Mickey waffles?Lastly, we love Disney’s Beach Club Resort because of its perfect location. You can easily walk to Disney’s Boardwalk and enjoy great dining experiences, shopping and nightlife. We especially love Beaches and Cream. You have to try their Kitchen Sink sundae! This place is known for their yummy ice cream and now they have adult root beer floats. Yes, please! From Disney’s Beach Club Resort, you can also walk to Epcot. Yes, walk! And on nights where you are just hanging around the resort, you can see the fireworks from the pool and from the boardwalk area. Bonus! Hollywood Studios can be visited by boat or you can walk there too; although the walk is a little farther. Disney’s Beach Club Resort is not spread out like some resorts so there is no need for internal shuttles. The walk to the main pool, restaurants, and marketplace are not too long and are actually very pleasant. This resort can accommodate many different size families as they have standard rooms that can fit up to five. If you need even more room, Disney’s Beach Club Resort also offers one and two bedroom suites. If you would like to book a Disney vacation please contact me at KellyR@wishesfamilytravel.com
