Epcot Festival of the Arts

5/17 | Stephanie Peavey

On January 28, 2022, I finally experienced the Epcot International Festival of the Arts. This has been on my Walt Disney World bucket list for several years, and I am thrilled to say it lived up to my expectations. The festival normally runs between mid-January to mid-February each year. This is a fantastic time of year to visit Walt Disney World if you enjoy lower crowds and milder temperatures. It was the perfect getaway for my husband and myself.

The festival is geared more toward adults, but I believe that kids could also enjoy it. There is so much to do and see that younger adults might be inspired to express themselves more freely! Whether your passion is visual art, culinary art, or performing art, I believe you can find something that speaks to you personally.

The culinary art is by far my favorite. I am a foodie! I saw some of the most beautiful food displays I have ever seen. It was art on a plate and it tasted as good as it looked. The cutest example was a chocolate chip cookie made to look like an artists’ palette. It almost looked too good to eat. Almost!

Many countries around the World Showcase had beautiful cuisine to try. There was not much performing art going on during my visit. During certain times, however, you can see live concerts with singing and dancing. The visual art was abundant everywhere in Epcot. I was mesmerized by the intricate drawings and paintings of all things Disney. There were so many different mediums used as well. There were traditional paintings, drawings made with chalk, paper art, and photography just to name a few. The photo ops were so much fun as well. They put you right in the middle of the artwork.

I highly recommend the Festival of the Arts to anyone who enjoys good food and entertainment. It is a wonderful, immersive experience during a perfect time of year.

I would love to help you plan a trip to enjoy this fun festival next year. Please contact me for more information.
