Fantastic Food Offerings at Epcot's Flower & Garden

Each year, Epcot hosts several festivals and often there are booths that offer smaller sized portions of unique food offerings. These are some of my favorite things at Epcot, as it allows me to sample several different types of cuisine without committing to a full meal. Most dishes are priced between $5-10. I’ve highlighted a few of my family’s favorites below. I traveled with my husband and three teenagers.

Sunshine Griddle had several offerings that we tried. The Avocado Toast was almost too pretty to eat. The edible flowers on top made the entire dish look like a small garden. My teenage daughters loved it! I tried the Shrimp n Grits to a big thumbs up (a bit spicy but nothing a bottle of water can’t handle), and my husband enjoyed the Corned Beef Brisket Hash. It has a poached egg on top, so I wasn’t too sure about it, but he really liked it. My son didn’t even want to share the fried cinnamon roll bites, they were so good.

My family loves pineapple, so the Pineapple Promenade was high on our list. My kids shared a Dole Whip, but my husband and I stuck to the drinks at this booth. I had the Florida Orange Groves Winery Sparkling Pineapple Wine, and I have to admit I was a little disappointed. It was warmer than I would have liked, but my husband seemed to enjoy his pineapple beer flight.

The Honey Bistro was a popular booth, and for good reason. The Tupelo Honey and Sweet Corn Spoon Bread was delicious! I liked it so much, I even went back again on my next trip to Disney World and purchased it again, only this time I didn’t share it with anyone.

Next on our tour of food booths was Fleur de Lys in the France pavilion. We had the Macaron au Chocolate en Sucette, which was a large chocolate macaron on a stick. It was so rich, I only had a bite of it, and was happy to share with my family. The Beignet Caramelise was delicious and huge, basically a large custard-filled donut with caramel sauce. We actually bought two, not realizing the size, and could have easily shared just one.

Moving on to Japan, we stopped at Hanami to try the Frushi, which is basically fruit wrapped in sweet ride and drizzled with a berry sauce and coconut. It was fantastic! We also tried the shrimp and crab sushi. My husband and oldest daughter loved sharing this. We also had the pineapple sake, and while it burned going down and is definitely best for sipping, I did enjoy the taste.

At several shopping locations throughout Epcot, you will find small gift cards with a bracelet on them. These are perfect for purchasing plates and several locations. Since they are on your wrist, you don’t need to dig around and find your card or cash when trying to pay. Also, you can put a set dollar amount on them, which helps you budget your money. It’s easy to spend a lot of money at the different booths on food and drinks if you aren’t paying attention.

We tried several other offerings during the Flower & Garden Festival, but these were some of the highlights. I encourage you to step outside your comfort zone and try something new during your next visit!
