Get Spicy In Morocco: A Review of Spice Road Table

Tiffany Morse9.25.18

In October, I had the pleasure of eating at Spice Road Table in Morocco at Disney’s Epcot Park.  I had not heard a lot about Spice Road before this.  The friend and colleague that I was going with made this suggestion and I was excited to try somewhere new so off we went.  We did have a reservation for two and they got us in without delay.

The atmosphere was electric and energized. People were having a great enjoying the Food and Wine Festival.  We were seated in the outside seating area, which is waterfront, and were quickly brought our drinks, I had water and the Red Wine Sangria.  We ordered the Hummus and Imported Olives.  It was outstanding and just what we needed after a long day.   Three different types of hummus arrived with pita bread and olives on top.  The texture of the hummus was firm, but very pleasing.

The menu had a wide variety of options including chicken, fish, vegetarian choices, and steak.  I ordered the NY Strip Steak that was served with Rosemary Potatoes, green beans and Harissa demi-glaze sauce.  Cooking my steak to correct specifications is sometimes hard, but they did a great job.  I like my steak butterflied and well done.  It was both and still very moist and bursting with flavor. The Rosemary potatoes were well seasoned, but not over done as were the green beans.

I had the Chocolate Pyramid.   It was wonderful mix of almond ice cream and a chocolate pyramid with chocolate drizzled over the top. Pricing was moderate. The appetizers or small plates as they are called and average around $12 in price.  The main entrees average around $28 and the desserts are around $8 each.  This was a wonderful meal with excellent food, a welcoming atmosphere, attentive service and moderate pricing and would highly recommend.
