Loew’s Royal Pacific Resort

Recently, my husband and I took a very special trip to Universal Orlando for his 30th birthday. Although we have been to Universal Orlando parks together several times, we have never stayed at a resort on Universal property. Universal was a vacation destination for my husband growing up, and I decided to surprise him and book a stay at his favorite resort on the property: Loew’s Royal Pacific! His family stayed here often when he was a child, but it has been about 15 years since he was last on the property.

Loew’s Royal Pacific is Caribbean themed, and there are Caribbean and tropical accents throughout the whole property. One of my favorite things about the resort was the smell in the lobby- AMAZING! I wish that I could bottle that scent up and spray it with me everywhere I go! Our room at the resort was immaculate, and I can honestly say it had one of the nicest showers I have ever had in a resort that I stayed at.

The best thing, by far, about Royal Pacific Resort is the proximity to Universal CityWalk and the parks. The resort has a complimentary water taxi station, and it is only about a 5-minute boat ride to the parks and CityWalk. The water-taxi was amazing and relaxing after a long day in the parks when your feet are sore! There is also a walkway that connects directly to CityWalk, which we utilized often. It was about a 10-minute walk, which was such a nice treat on a cool Florida morning.

Royal Pacific has several dining options which we did not check out on this trip, but many guests seemed to be enjoying them. We also loved the Tuk-Tuk market that had quick grab and go breakfasts and lunches, and also a Starbucks! That was such a necessity before we started our park days, or before venturing off on our drive home at 6 a.m. The resort boasts an amazing pool area with a water slide! We did not get time to swim due to the cooler weather during our stay, but it was a relaxing area and the water is heated.

Although this was a quick trip and we did not explore all the resort has to offer, it was such an enjoyable place to stay that we will definitely return to!
