Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party

Leslie DinunzioNovember 26, 2015mvmcp-ballThe magic of Christmas and the awesomeness that is the Walt Disney World Resort are two of the most incredible things out there.  Put them together and you get Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party (MVMCP)!   This is a special ticketed event held at Magic Kingdom select evenings in November and December.  Magic Kingdom stays open late only for those wrist-banded guests who were lucky enough to purchase their Special Event ticket!  The party lasts from 7pm until midnight, but you can typically arrive at Magic Kingdom (if you haven’t been enjoying the park that day) around 4pm to start the festivities. If you have already spent the day admiring the castle, Cast Members start confirming current patrons around 4pm and will “band” you for the evening. By 7pm only party-goers are in Magic Kingdom. There are lots of fun inclusions at the party.  Disney characters are dressed in their holiday or winter finest just awaiting a perfect photo opportunity and special meet and greet.  Hint - if you go in November those photos make a great holiday card photo! The majority of attractions are open and while there are no FastPas+ used at the party, lines are typically manageable due to lower crowd levels.  mvmcp-castYour family can view an amazing holiday-themed parade which is shown twice during the party before enjoying the castle in all its twinkling glory and a special fireworks display. After all the excitement of the party you might get hungry for a sweet treat, right?  You’re in luck!  MVMCP also offers cookies and hot chocolate throughout the park which is yet another feature to help you get in that holiday spirit. If you close your eyes you can almost feel the snowfall... maybe it’s not your imagination? As a party attendee you will see for yourself.Like standard park hours, Disney bus/boat/monorail transportation will be available to bring you to the party and then whisk you, full of memories (and cookies!), back to your resort.Contact me about Christmastime or any other holiday at a Disney Resort at Leslie@wishesfamilytravel.commvmcp-fam
