Visiting Disneyland for the first time is a magical experience, but it can also be overwhelming with all the planning involved. To make the most of your trip, especially if it’s your first time, working with a travel agent can be a game-changer.

Why Use a Travel Agent?

We are well-versed in the ins and outs of Disneyland Resort. We can help you narrow down the best time to visit, weather, and special events. Additionally, we often help secure dining reservations, advocate for our clients, and stay alert when it comes to special offers on theme park tickets and accommodations.

We can also guide you through the variety of resort options. Whether you want to stay at one of Disneyland’s iconic on-site hotels like the historic Disneyland Hotel or explore a nearby Disneyland Resort Good Neighbor Hotel, we strive to get the best deal for your budget and preferences. Let us handle all the logistics, so you can focus on the fun!

Planning Your Disneyland Trip

Decide on Your Dates: Choosing the right time to visit Disneyland Resort is a crucial first step. You may want to time your trip around special events like Oogie Boogie Bash, holiday celebrations, or catch Mickey during a school break. Alternatively, you might prefer experiencing The Happiest Place on Earth during the quieter offseason. Whatever your preference, I’m here to guide you through the process.

Book Early: Disneyland Park is one of the most popular theme parks in the world. Booking your trip months in advance guarantees better prices on hotels, vacation packages, and flights. Booking early allows you to snag those coveted dining reservations and have more time to plan.

Accommodations: There are three Disneyland Resort Hotels, each offering unique themes and direct access to the parks. Another option, consider staying at a nearby partner hotel which often provide shuttle services to the parks. Let me help you find accommodations that fit your budget, proximity needs, and offer great resort extras.

Maximize Your Time: Get there early! Mornings typically have shorter lines for many attractions. If you're using Lightning Lane Multi Pass (Disney's paid FastPass system), decide ahead of time which attractions you want to experience and reserve them strategically. Prioritize top attractions first, then take time to enjoy the parades, shows, and character meet-and-greets.

Park Days: How long are you planning to stay? For Disneyland Resort, I suggest setting aside at least three full days. This allows you to dedicate one full day to each park, with an extra day to either hop between the two (if your ticket includes park hopping) or revisit the park you enjoyed the most.

Pace Yourself: Staying from opening to closing at Disneyland can mean a long day of 12 hours or more. To recharge in the afternoon, take a leisurely ride on the Disneyland Railroad, relax in Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room, or catch a historical break with Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln. At Disney California Adventure Park, visit the Animation Academy for a cool, relaxing spot. A caffeine boost from Starbucks on Main Street, Buena Vista Street, or Downtown Disney can also help keep you energized.

Experiencing your first Disneyland adventure is magical and filled with excitement and wonder. With a bit of planning, these tips in mind, and working with a travel agent you'll be well-equipped to navigate the park, make the most of your visit, and create unforgettable memories.
