Oga's Cantina

Recently, while visiting Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge: at Disney’s Hollywood Studios we experienced Oga’s Cantina.  When it was time, we checked in for our reservation at Oga’s Cantina.  We got into the line and waited.  The line is outside the cantina and has a few umbrellas to help with the sun.   There is stroller parking around the corner, to leave strollers before getting into line.  When we got to the front of the line, we gave them our name and were escorted to what looked like a spaceship door.  The atmosphere inside was lively and fun.  They have about 90% standing room and very few tables.  You cannot reserve the tables so be prepared to stand for this experience.  As we were escorted to our spot, we passed DJ R3X , formerly of Star Tours.  It was good to see him and the music was electric.

Our spot was at the left end of the bar.  We were told to stand stacked one in front of the other, very close together.  We each ordered something different.  They have a combination of alcoholic and non- alcoholic beverages.  There is a two drink maximum of beverages of either kind maximum as well as a 45- minute time restriction in Oga’s.  Also, one other important tip, there is very little food on the menu.  We ordered  Batuu Bits and a mixture both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.  You can also try the famed Blue or Green MiIk here. I had the Bespin Fizz, which has a surprise in how it is served.   The Batuu Bits and Bespin Fizz were both ok. The Batuu Bits were spicy snack bits that were hard to positively identify.  They were crispy, but not my favorite.  The Bespin Fizz had a unique presentation with dry ice, but the taste was underwhelming and at eighteen dollars it was only ok.

The atmosphere was exhilarating, light- hearted, fun.  I think a booth would have been much more comfortable though. Also, it is a smugglers outpost so you never know what king of potentially unsavory characters you might run into.  Keep your head down and don’t ask too many questions. Sometimes members of the Resistance have been known to frequent such establishments as well.  At the end of your time, you exit back at the front where you came in.  The space door slides open and closes quickly.  If you would like a reservation at Oga’s or another travel destination, contact your galactic Vacation Experience Architect at :tiffm@wishesfamilytravel.com or 678-770-4144.
