I don’t know about you but I look forward to going on vacation and trying all the snacks. I love trying treats from different cultures and even stepping outside of my comfort zone at times. Recently I had the opportunity to go on a girl’s trip to Universal Resort in Orlando, Florida with my eldest daughter. She is a foodie like me and could not wait to try all the goodies that Universal had to offer.

So let’s get right to it and chat about 4 of our favorite snacks.

Voodoo Doughnuts

These doughnuts are insanely awesome! Some are even big enough to share. You will find the Voodoo Doughnut shop at Universal’s Citywalk, which is located right before the entrance to Universal Studios. It is a fun and trendy shop that is filled with endless doughnut options. Some of these options include candy topped, jelly filled, frosted, cereal topped and cream filled. We got to try the seasonal pumpkin doughnut and it did not disappoint. It was frosted and filled with a yummy fall spice custard center. This doughnut was so massive that we could barely finish it between the two of us. Be sure to stop by Voodoo Doughnuts. There is something there for every doughnut lover.

Central Park Crepes

Run don’t walk to Central Park Crepes! This place may not look like much but it is a must do. Central Park Crepes offers made to order savory and sweet crepes. These crepes are well worth the wait. We tried the savory chicken and goat cheese and the oh so sweet lemon blueberry. Though the chicken and goat cheese was great, the lemon blueberry crepe stole the show.  The Lemon Blueberry Crepe is filled with lemon mascarpone, blueberries, lemon curd, lemon pound cake and topped with a helping of whipped cream. Do not try to walk and eat this thing. One must sit down and savor its sweet yummy goodness. Central Park Crepes is located just across from the Transformers Ride in Universal Studios.

ButterBeer Everything

Now you can’t come all the way to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and not have ButterBeer. There are so many ButterBeer options when visiting Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. You can have ButterBeer served hot, cold or frozen. There is also ButterBeer ice cream and fudge. Now we are a house divided when it comes to ButterBeer. My daughter absolutely loved hot ButterBeer. I on the other hand loved the ButterBeer Ice Cream. ButterBeer treats can be found at a variety of locations in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. ButterBeer Ice Cream can be found at Florean Fortescue’s Ice Cream Parlor in Diagon Alley at Universal Studios. ButterBeer Fudge can be located at Honey Dukes at Hogsmeade at Islands of Adventure. And for your choice of ButterBeer Beverages you can visit either Leaky Cauldron (Universal Studios) or Three Broomsticks (Islands of Adventure).

Lemon Slush

The Lemon Slush can be found at the Chilin’ Charlie’s kiosk just before you enter Seuss Landing in Islands of Adventure. This hand scooped shaved ice is such a refreshing treat on a hot Florida summer day. The best part about this treat is that its definitely large enough for 2 adults to share and costs less than $6! You have your choice of lemon, strawberry or you can go wild and get them to mix the two flavors. The Chilin’ Charlie’s kiosk also serves soft drinks and pretzels.
