Peace, Love and Disney's Pop Century Resort

Stephanie Peavy2.12.19Walt Disney World’s Pop Century Resort is a wonderful value resort that showcases themes from the 1950s through 1990s. I have stayed there several times and have never been disappointed. The last time was in February and I was fortunate enough to get a refurbished room. It was fantastic! Just when I thought it couldn’t get any better, it did!The refurbished rooms have a very modern feel to them. There are now 2 queen beds instead of full sized, which makes it much more comfortable for a family of 4. One of the beds is in the wall so it can be easily folded and converted into a table for extra room. The new beds are plush and so comfortable. It is so nice to come back to such a cozy bed after a long day of walking in the parks. After a great night’s sleep, I was rejuvenated and ready to go again the next day.The food court, Everything Pop, did not disappoint either. There are so many different food options from burgers and fries to meatloaf and mashed potatoes. Don’t forget to save room for the desserts, though. The tie-dyed cheesecake is to die for. It’s worth skipping the meal sometimes just to get double cheesecake. There is definitely something for everyone, and if you are on the dining plan, you get unlimited drink refills with your resort mug. Who doesn’t like free drinks? The food court at Pop Century is a great quick service dining option.There are tons of extra-curricular things to do at the resort as well. The three fun-themed pools are a great way to relax in between park time. You can take a dip in the Hippy Dippy Pool, the Bowling Pool, or the Computer Pool. The little ones can play at the playground located in the 70s section while the older kids have fun at the arcade. In the evening, you can relax under the stars while watching a Disney movie.Lastly, the transportation from Pop Century to the different Disney parks is seamless. There are designated bus stops at the front of the resort that are clearly labeled with the park name. There is also a sign in that same area that will give the estimated time of arrival for each bus. Staying on Disney property is definitely the smartest decision if convenience is what you are looking for. Each resort makes the guest a priority and Pop Century is no different.
