Staying Club Level at Beach Club
Juli RussApril 18, 2017
While planning our most recent trip to Walt Disney World I thought it would be fun to splurge and surprise my husband with a Club Level room at our favorite resort, The Beach Club. I chose The Beach Club for several reasons: the proximity to Epcot where we planned to spend much of our time, Stormalong Bay is the absolute best pool at Walt Disney World, and the restaurants are among our favorites. I was really excited with my little surprise, especially since we had never stayed Club Level at Disney. The first benefit of Club Level was skipping the regular check-in line, which can be quite long at times, and going right up to the Stone Harbor Club on the 5th floor. The staff greeted us warmly as we stepped off the elevator and directed us right to our room. From the minute we arrived on the Club Level floor we felt special. As soon as I opened the door I noticed how beautifully decorated the room was in pretty pale blues and seaside colors. The room was very spacious and included two queen beds, a desk, dresser and mini fridge. When I looked inside the closet I found two comfy robes for our use during our stay. My favorite feature of our room was the balcony that overlooked Stormalong Bay. The balcony was big enough for a small table and two chairs, perfect for coffee in the morning or cocktails in the evening. The darling French door to the balcony kept any noise from the pool to a minimum.
The Stone Harbor Club was just down the hall, very convenient to our room and easy to grab a snack on our way to the parks. The club offers complimentary wine
and beer all day, a continental breakfast, snacks in the afternoon, hot hors’ d oeuvres in the evening and dessert at night. There were plenty of tables for dining or relaxing, even kid sized tables and a TV for the little ones. The staff went out of their way to make us feel pampered and relaxed while we took a break from the day’s activities.Breakfast was served from 7am-10:30am every day. The breakfast options were perfect before heading out for a day in the parks: pastries, fruit, oatmeal, bagels, hard-boiled eggs, coffee, tea and juice. During the afternoon, we found snacks from 11:30am-4:00pm. Several varieties of cookies, trail mix, chocolate covered pretzels, fruit punch and ice water awaited guests taking a mid-day break. From 5:00pm-7:00pm a fabulous selection of hot hors’ d oeuvres were available and changed nightly. A couple of our favorites were the sirloin baguettes and the tomato mozzarella salad. For a sweet treat, desserts were offered from 7:00pm- 10:00pm. Many yummy desserts including rice krispy treats, brownies, cookies and tarts tempted guests as they returned from a fun day. There were even chocolates waiting for us on our turned down bed every night!
The Concierge Staff was available to take care of any needs that we had. When we were wondering how many snack credits we had left on our dining plan, they were happy to print our dining credit balance, helped us rearrange a dining reservation, and answered many, many questions. It was wonderful to see a smiling face greeting you as you arrived on the 5th floor.Kevin and I would most definitely stay Club Level again at The Beach Club or any of the Walt Disney World deluxe properties. Our luxurious room, the Stone Harbor Club and the Concierge Staff that pampered us for our entire stay was well worth the extra money that we paid for Club Level.I would love to help you plan a luxury stay at The Beach Club, contact me at julir@wishesfamilytravel.com
