Staying Cool While at Disney

By: Diana LeeSummer is upon us, which means it is getting pretty hot in Florida. Between the high temperatures andhumidity, things can get uncomfortable quickly when visiting Walt Disney World. Here are a few shorttips on how to stay cool while visiting the Disney Parks in sunny Florida.1. Indoor AttractionsThis is a great way to cool off! The kids will be entertained and the adults can rest their feet for a while.Here are just a few great attractions divided up by each park that provide fun for the whole family andmost importantly, air-conditioning.

Magic Kingdom:   Mickey’s PhilharMagic, The Carousel of Progress and Hall of Presidents.Epcot:   The Land Pavilion, Spaceship Earth and Soarin’.Hollywood Studios:   The Great Movie Ride, The Magic of Disney Animation and Muppet Vision 3D.Animal Kingdom:   It's Tough to be a Bug and Finding Nemo the Musical

2. Refreshing SnacksDisney has tons of wonderful treats to try. What better excuse to try a Disney snack than for the sake ofkeeping cool? Dole Whips are a must do for a lot of families. This sweet, tropical treat can be found inAdventureland in the Magic Kingdom.It is also very important to stay hydrated while touring the parks. Each quick service location at the parksprovides guests with free ice water. So if you forgot to bring a bottle of water with you to the park, thenall you have to do is find your nearest quick service location and they will be happy to provide you with acup of ice cold water. And if all else fails, be sure to get the iconic Mickey Bar. It is sure to put a smile onanybody’s face!
4. Take a Break!There is a ton of magical fun in the parks, but there is just as much magic to be had at your Disney Resorthotel. If the heat is becoming too much for you, then take a rest back in your room or go for a swim at theresort pool. There are usually many activities provided at the resort pools for kids. Just check at thefront desk of your resort for details.As a final note, each park is equipped with an air-conditioned First Aid Station. Be sure that you are aware of its location when entering the parks in case someone in your group become overheated. Be smart and prepare in advance for ways you and your family can stay cool in the park. This way everyone can get the most out of their magical vacation at Walt Disney World!
