Story Book Dining at Artist Point with Snow White
A Review by Juli Russ3.7.20Walt Disney World’s newest character meal, Story Book Dining with Snow White, is a delightful experience at The Wilderness Lodge. This restaurant features a price fixe menu, currently priced at $55.00 for adults and $33.00 for children 3-9, but on the Disney Dining Plan the Story Book dinner is only one dining credit. For the price you get a three-course meal along with some very fun character interaction. The restaurant feels like you are sitting in a cozy cottage surrounded by enchanted trees. We loved the intimate atmosphere of this dining experience. Snow White, Dopey and Grumpy dance their way through the restaurant to greet each table, take pictures and sign autographs. The Evil Queen cannot be bothered to visit each table, you will have to go see her at the end of your meal! The meal starts off with the difficult decision of which entrée and beverage to order. Both the alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are fun and I would suggest ordering one. If you are on the dining plan they are included in your meal which is a nice benefit with the dining plan. The shared appetizers, winter squash bisque, hunter’s pie and wicked shrimp cocktail, are served on a darling tree shaped lazy susan. The attention to detail, even in the serving dishes, was amazing! My favorite was the cauldron that contained the winter squash bisque!Choosing an entrée was difficult, each one sounded better than the next. My daughter and I both decided on the Royal Prime Rib. Other choices included: Brothers Grimm Roasted Chicken, Magic Mirror Slow-Braised Veal Shank, Seafood Stew, Bashful’s Butter-Poached Snapper and a Stroll Through Nature that featured butternut squash, arugula and gnocchi. The prime rib was incredible, we both loved it! We did, however save room for dessert and I recommend you do so as well. A trio of desserts plus a special gift is served to share. Our favorite dessert was the Fairy Tale Gooseberry Pie, but truly enjoyed the “Poison” Apple (white chocolate mousse) and the Miner’s Treasure (layers of sponge cake, chocolate “gems” and buttercream icing). To top it all off you will get the Hunter’s Gift to the Queen which is cracked maple popcorn and a ganache heart served in a smoking box.We loved every minute of our Story Book Dining at Artist Point. From the atmosphere, to the delicious food, to sweet interactions with the characters. My daughter and I would recommend you add this experience to your next Walt Disney World vacation.
