Take a picture, it lasts longer…

If you are like me, then you love your pictures! You love to capture the moments, create the memories, and look back at those times in your life.

During travel, these are the times I feel like I want to bottle up every minute and document it all. At the same time, I want to be present, share in the smiles, the laughs, the fun. I do not want to be stuck on my phone, not be in pictures, or lose the meaning and purpose for the why.

One option at Universal Orlando is adding the Photo Pass to your package. Before moving on, I must admit, I never added the package and honestly do not have a good enough reason as to why I ever skipped this hidden gem.

With that said, during my latest adventure to the exciting world of Universal Orlando, I decided to add this feature.

The nice thing is you can add for one day, 3 days, or your entire trip.

I picked the 3-day package being as we would be in the parks for 3 full days that week.

The price was $95.00 and is activated when you pick up your card at the photo pass shop upon arrival.

There are 2 locations, so whether you are entering through Islands of Adventure or Universal, you will find one immediately upon arrival.

After checking in, you are given a card that you will scan after each photo and a lanyard to keep your card in. I was probably a little more excited than the norm for that lanyard. The little things, bring me joy for sure…and at Universal a lanyard is a bonus!

The best advice I can give is to have a plan. Be sure you utilize and make it a goal to get your picture taken.

If you follow me on Facebook or IG you would see that I did post a lot on the green rooms.

My son and I found these to be so much fun. Show up whenever you want during the shop hours, as many times as you would like. You scan your card prior to, so the photos are linked to your account.

Posing in front of a green wall and then seeing you are being carried by Kong, floating in a hot air balloon with a Troll, or racing against time in Jurassic Park was half the fun.

There are also several rides that will include a photo or even a short video. It is important to always scan your card after, to be sure they are uploaded. You will own all the photos taken.

Our favorite had to be our video shoot that took place at Shutterbuttons in Diagon Alley. We were instructed what to do, how to act, and facial expressions to make. This session lasted for around 20 minutes, and we were invited to watch the preview.

Each scene was in a location related to Harry Potter and created a complete storyline.

Your video is emailed to you and yours to save and upload as a forever keepsake.

After your last day at the parks, it is important you remember to visit the shop where you received your card.

The perks continue when you are offered at 5x7 print along with a 4x6 print of your choice.

There were so many fun and wonderful shots, I decided I needed more.

Sheets start at $2.00 and go to around $10.00. Reasonable and so worth it. In a Facebook world, it is easy to constantly post but not print. I am trying to be better about printing and adding to albums. This made it so easy to have some memories in hand to share and preserve.

If you want to know more about Universal, or other travel destinations, I would be happy to help guide and plan.
