The Magic That Changes Everything

Susie SwansonAugust 11, 2016imageThere is Disney Magic everywhere on all of the cruise ships. You do not go a day without seeing the magical experiences the crew and staff provide for you and your family. When my family went on the Disney Fantasy in April of 2016 my kids were thrilled with every character experience, Aqua Duck water slide, magical animated photos throughout the ship, and many more experiences. However, there was one special experience that stood out when we were on the cruise. My 4-year-old daughter was in her Cinderella dress and crying one day while meeting the management crew on the formal night. She was crying because she wanted to see the princesses in that moment. The manager/officer of youth activities, Natalie Roberts, stopped her and said, “Princess, why are you crying?” Maggie explained to her that she really wants to see the princesses. That is when Natalie offered for Maggie (and big sister, Luci) to be honorary princesses on the last night of the cruise. My girls were so excited they immediately threw their arms around Natalie and hugged her. Our next thought was, “what is an honorary princess?” We went back to our room and we had received a formal invitation from Cinderella asking the girls to be in her princess processional. imageOn the last night of the cruise the girls would be escorted down the royal steps by Prince Charming and meet Cinderella at the main lobby in front of hundreds of people. They then got to dance with Cinderella and she taught them how to courtesy. The most awesome thing about this experience is that only 15 girls on the entire ship of 4000 people were asked to do this! My girls will forever remember this experience and still talk about it today with their little friends. Now this is Disney MAGIC!
