Top 5 Reasons to Stay at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel

April Sanders4.28.19Last year I had an amazing opportunity to experience Disneyland. Out of all three resorts on property, the one that stood out the most is Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel. If you are a fan of the 20th Century Arts and Crafts era, then this is the hotel for you. You cannot miss their attention to detail. Everywhere your eye gazes, you’ll see artistry and nature thoughtfully designed. If that hasn’t convinced you, let’s look at five more reasons to stay at this beautiful place.f-26-14-12846496_GRjduvYG_Grand_Californian_Hotel_Sign

  1. Location

Did you know there’s a special theme park entrance to Disney’s California Adventure that is for guests only? With a theme park ticket, you can walk right in to the park. It’s so convenient! Disneyland is already great for little feet, but the fact that this is so close is an absolute benefit. Also, by staying on property you can take advantage of Extra Magic Hours, which gives you early entry to select Disneyland or California Adventure attractions (valid theme park ticket and your active room key is required for entry).

  1. Accommodations

There are 948 guestrooms, including some suites and villas. The rooms were recently renovated in 2017 and feature a mural reflecting some Disney theming. Hint: Look for Chip ‘n Dale hiding. The majority of rooms have balconies.f-26-20-12846496_Ge19JtTI_Grand_Californian_Park_View

  1. Amenities

To name a few, Disney’s Grand Californian Resort has amazing pools, a fitness center, the Mandara Spa, the Grand Quest Scavenger Hunt and much more!f-26-15-12846496_KInsiSfh_Grand_Californian_Hotel_Pool_

  1. Veranda Lounge

Club level guests get to enjoy complimentary drinks and snacks. You can also see the fireworks while having some wine and a dessert. When we walked in, I could not believe all the goodies they have to offer! Such a great ending to a magical day! Hours of operation:

  • 6:30am-10:30am- Assorted pastries, cereal, fruit and juices
  • 11:30am-3:30pm- Afternoon tea with sandwiches, scones and desserts
  • 4:30pm-7:30pm- Appetizers, with complimentary beer and wines
  • 8:00pm-10:00pm- Pastries and cookies
  1. Dining

Napa Rose is a wine lovers dream. This is a lovely dining experience, that now offers a  princess dining event. Storytellers Café has an astounding character breakfast featuring Chip & Dale and many of their friends.f-26-19-12846496_QEXOobpC_Grand_Californian_Hotel-Storytellers_cafeAre you thinking of a stay at Disneyland?
