The app allows you to check details like park hours, ride wait times, and show times- plus view menus and order food. I love the ability to mobile order- here’s why…

  1. You Can Check Out the Menu Ahead of Time

Am I the only person who gets stressed out trying to decide what to order in a busy quick service line? I appreciate the chance to look over menus ahead of time without worrying that I am holding up others behind me. As a parent of picky eaters, it helps to know what choices are on the menu before we walk across the park only to discover there aren’t any chicken tenders. Even more important than the chicken tenders, I value the ability to check menus for allergy friendly options for my husband who is gluten-free.

  1. You Can Place Your Order Before You Arrive

Once you’ve decided which Universal restaurant you would like to experience, you can order right away- even before you’ve arrived at the restaurant. This gives you time to walk there, maybe pop into a shop or two, and take your time while your food is being prepared. On my last trip, I ordered from Cafe 4 in the Marvel Superhero Island area of Islands of Adventure while I was shopping in the Hollywood area of Universal Studios Florida. By the time I made it to the restaurant, my order was brought to my table in under five minutes.

  1. You Can Pay Right In The App

By adding my preferred payment option directly into the Universal Orlando app, I didn’t need to worry about using my card at the restaurant. It made the mobile ordering process quick and easy. Plus not needing to stop by the counter to pay and having someone bring my food to the table made the quick service restaurant feel almost like table service. You can even make requests of the staff as they bring your food, like complimentary cups of ice water.

Ready to try mobile ordering? Here’s how to do it!

Open up the Universal Orlando app and click on the three lines in the top left corner. Select “Mobile Food & Drink Ordering” under the “Shop” heading,

  1. Select your restaurant.
  2. Decide on the menu items you want to order. Touch that menu and decide how many you would like. Hit “Add to Order”.
  3. Once you’ve selected all your items, click on the shopping cart to check out. If you are an Annual Passholder, you can apply the discount at this time.
  4. After you’ve checked out, you’ll get a confirmation screen with your order number. Now is the time to head to the restaurant or relax at your table if you’ve already arrived. A staff member will stop by your table to confirm your order number.

At this time, mobile ordering isn’t available for those using the Universal Dining Plan. If you have the dining plan, you should head to the restaurant and let the host know. You’ll be seated and a server will come take your order and get your dining plan information.
