Halloween Horror Nights begins in mid-September and goes to the beginning of November. If you love all the scary things about Halloween, then Halloween Horror Nights is the perfect event for you. September 14th will be the start of the 28th year that Universal will put on this separately ticketed event. In October of 2017 I was able to take part in Halloween Horror Nights for myself. The festivities start as the sun is going down. Universal Studios is completely transformed. I felt like that I was in a completely different theme park. Guest are completely wrapped up in all things frightening. There are 5 scare zones that you must navigate as you travel around Universal Studios. Last year the scare zones included killer clowns, visitors from outer space, and “The Purge.” The scare-actors are interactive and fun.In addition to the frightening streets you can also enjoy haunted houses. Last year in 2017 some of the scary houses included The Shining, American Horror Story and Saw. The American Horror Story haunted house covers sections of some of the most popular seasons of the television show. This year one of the new haunted houses will be based on the Netflix series “Stranger Things.” If you are a fan of Eleven and Hawkins, Indiana, you will surely want to check this one out. Almost half of the haunted houses are original content which was created specifically for Halloween Horror Nights. If you are not a fan of some of the movies or TV shows you will find something that will scare you.If you need a break from all the scary stuff you can enjoy one or two live shows or enjoy several attractions that are still open. In years past the audience got to enjoy “Bill and Ted’s Excellent Halloween Adventure.” Sadly, this hilarious comedy show had its last season in 2017. I was happy to be able to enjoy the final tour of the Wyld Stallyns.I was so impressed by Halloween Horror Nights. I had a blast. I spent the night laughing and screaming. I think any person could find something they enjoy during Halloween Horror Nights. I hope to check it out again this fall.If you would like more information, please contact me Lee@wishesfamilytravel.com or 215-668-2445.
