Have you ever thought of Walt Disney World as a romantic getaway? Well you should, because Walt Disney World is a great place to get swept up in all the magic and is a perfect place for romance. My husband and I go for long weekends and sometimes don’t even go into the parks. Walt Disney World is surrounded by fantasy and the luxury. Below you will see a few things that we love to do on our long romantic weekends at Walt Disney World.

Resorts – First, Walt Disney World has some of the best resorts to stay. If you are looking for that romantic getaway, I would recommend one of the Deluxe resorts with all the great amenities. There are many options and they are all well themed so you can find the resort that best fits what you are looking for. For example:

Animal Kingdom Lodge have rooms with views of the savanna. Sit out on your balcony and have a glass of wine and watch the animals as they roam the savanna.

Disney’s Polynesian Resort – Themed for the South Pacific, and with lush vegetation you will be swept away and feel like you’re in a tropical paradise.

Disney’s Wilderness Lodge – This resort will take you on an adventure to the Great Northwest. From the large fireplace in the main lobby to Old Faithful geyser outside you will be ready to relax and enjoy your getaway together.

Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa – Looking for a lot more elegance on your romantic adventure? Then this is the resort for you. This lavish Disney resort is full of sophistication and elegance. With a live orchestra in main lobby, and you just never know who may be coming down the main stairway in the lobby during the day also.

These are just a few, with many more to choose from.  I would be happy to help you find the right one for your getaway.

Romantic Dinners – When on Walt Disney World property you have so many dining choices to choose from both inside the parks and outside the park. Some of my favorite adult dining is outside of the parks.  Walt Disney World has a host of signature and fine dining restaurants from a Storybook Dining with Snow White at Artist Point, to dinner and fireworks at the California Grill. For special occasions, you can enjoy a more formal evening at Jiko in the Animal Kingdom Lodge, or the 5 Diamond award-winning restaurant Victoria and Alberts in the Grand Floridian. There is no shortage of fine dining at Walt Disney World. I can even help have a special surprise be brought to your table for that special moment!

SPA TREATMENTS - There is always time for a spa day  at the Walt Disney World Resort. Couples treatments are available for an extra-romantic time. Not all Disney resorts offer spa services, but you do not have to be staying at the resort to book a Spa Day. I would be happy to help you with all the planning, so all you must do is show up. Now if you are planning your trip around Valentine’s Day sometimes, they have specials that fill up fast, so it is wise to plan ahead!

SECLUDED GETAWAYS - You can spend time participating in recreation and leisure as you enjoy the amenities of deluxe resorts. The Yacht Club is an ideal location for couples to retreat, as is the Boardwalk in for its honeymoon villas. The over-water bungalows at the Polynesian Village and the lakeside cabins at Wilderness Lodge are especially romantic. Other resorts that are ideal for providing more privacy such as the cabins at Fort Wilderness. Each amazing resort has many spots for you two to sit and just relax.

ADDED LITTLE EXTRA EXPERIENCES

Outside the accommodations, you will find plenty of recreational activities that are perfect for couples. At Port Orleans and Fort Wilderness you can enjoy a romantic carriage ride. If you want to splurge on a special experience, you can rent a yacht for a romantic evening cruise and watch the fireworks for you. Bike rentals and horseback tours are also available. You can explore the options at Disney Floral and Gifts to set up an in-room celebration. There is no shortage of touring opportunities at any of the four theme parks either. You can explore the savanna together at Disney’s Animal Kingdom or take a five-hour World Showcase tour at Epcot. Adding extra tours and events make the best vacation memories that last a lifetime.

I would be happy to help you plan your next couples getaway – Contact me at annat@wishesfamilytravel.com or you can visit my Facebook page. As always, my service is at no extra charge to my clients. I look forward in talking with you and I hope I get to make your trip a little more magical.
