Walt Disney World for the Frozen Fanatic

Becky Criswell6.7.20f-26-14-13576546_75xWhZA8_BC_Frozen_Blog_OlafIf you have children in your household right now, chances are you have a Frozen fan. Who am I kidding? If you are an adult-only household you probably have a Frozen fan among you! I currently have a 4-year old daughter and we’ve heard the soundtracks (yes, both of them) every day this year on repeat. It’s not surprising that a conversation I commonly have with my client starts something like this: “My child is a HUGE Frozen/Anna/Elsa/Olaf fan, so we must see anything and everything to do with Frozen.” That’s why I decided to write this blog. By the end of this article, you should know about all of the opportunities to make your little (or big) Frozen fan smile.EpcotIn Epcot you will find Frozen Ever After, the magical boatride that opened in 2016 replacing the longstanding Maelstrom ride in the Norway Pavilion. This ride is very well done and will bring you all of the characters, music and Frozen feels that your fan is looking for. While the wait times aren’t as crazy as they once were, I still recommend a Fast Pass if this is a must-do for your family. Also in the Norway Pavilion is where you will find the meet & greet with Anna and Elsa. There’s no fast pass available for this character spot so you will want to set aside time for this as the wait times do get long at times. (And yes, they are in their new outfits from Frozen 2 – eek!)Hollywood StudiosIn Hollywood Studios there are two attractions that you won’t want to miss. First of all, it’s here that you will meet the adorable Olaf! This was probably my favorite character meet & greet on our last trip. He really is so HUGGABLE!Secondly, the Frozen Sing-Along Celebration is a wonderful musical production that typically runs every hour throughout the day. I was pleasantly surprised by this show. You will witness a comical re-telling of the original Frozen story and of course you’ll be able to Let It Go and sing your heart out to every song from the movie.Magic KingdomOpportunties to encounter your favorite Frozen characters are more subtle in this park, but that’s all the more reason to make sure I point them out to you!You will see your favorite characters in the Festival of Fantasy parade that occurs every afternoon. This parade is a must-see – Frozen fan or not!Anna, Elsa, and Olaf also appear in Mickey’s Royal Friendship Faire, a song-and-dance show that happens throughout the day in front of the castle. Check your app to find showtimes and be sure to park yourself in front of the castle for this musical celebration.ShoppingThere are two gift shops dedicated to Frozen merchandise and they can be found in Epcot and Hollywood Studios. The first, Wandering Reindeer, is located in Epcot’s Norway Pavilion so be sure to stop by in between Frozen Ever After and snapping a photo with Anna and Elsa. The second option, Frozen Fractal Gifts, can be find in the Echo Lake area of Hollywood Studios.Very Special ExperiencesIf you are looking to go above and beyond for your Frozen fan, I recommend the Frozen Ever After Dessert Party in Epcot. This special event includes a reserved viewing area for the Epcot fireworks (currenly Epcot Forever), a wide variety of Frozen-themed desserts, and special access to the Frozen Ever After attraction. You can enjoy a taste of Elsa’s Blue Velvet Cupcakes, Olaf’s Warm Double-Chocolate S’more Pudding Cake, and Sven’s Fresh Fruit, just to name a few! The cost for this event is $99/adult and $59/child.Disney Floral and Gifts offers a very special Frozen In-Room Celebration Package. You can have this package delievered to your resort room and surprise your special Frozen fan at anytime during your stay. The package includes a special blanket, plush Olaf, Frozen-themed treats, Frozen-vision glasses, light-up lanyards, headband, Frozen keepsake photos, and an autograph book. The price for this package is currently $375.As you can see, there’s plenty for the Frozen fan to experince in Disney World, and if more becomes available, I’ll be sure to keep you informed! Contact me to start planning your next vacation, I’d love to hear from you! Beckyc@wishesfamilytravel.com
