What To Do In Clearwater Beach

My husband and I planned a quick getaway for our anniversary to beautiful Clearwater Beach, and it did not disappoint. Clearwater Beach is typically found on the “Top  Beaches in America” for families and couples. With its turquoise water, white sandy beaches, and plenty of entertainment options, there are numerous things to see and do at Clearwater Beach.

We stayed at the Residence Inn at Clearwater Beach. The location was perfect for us since we did not have a car. To get to the beach, you just needed to cross the street and enter Surf Style- which has a market, beachwear, and souvenir shop. It is a perfect spot to grab suntan lotion, medications, and refreshments. Our 1 Bedroom Suite featured a living room with desk, television, sofa with pull-out bed, fully equipped kitchen, bedroom with king bed and balcony, bathroom with shower, and a dressing area.

A Grab ‘n’ Go breakfast is available each morning from 7:30-9:30 am. Plus, you have the lobby bar and grill for those late night snacks and drinks. The hotel also features a gym, small convenience shop, pool, and there is also a Starbucks on property. We found this location to be perfect for not only walking to the beach but also to shops and restaurants.

Things to do at Clearwater Beach

  • Enjoy some amazing restaurants
  • Take a dolphin cruise
  • Relax on the whitesand beaches and rent a cabana with chairs
  • Visit the pier
  • Take a ride on the Jolley Trolley - visit Tarpon Springs, Dunedin, and North and South Beaches in Clearwater
  • Take in the sunset at Jimmy’s Crow’s Nest
  • Head into Tampa for a baseball or football game

Quick Tip

  • There is no need to worry about a car while on vacation. You have lots of great transfer options from Tampa Bay Airport. Plus with so many hotels within walking distance of restaurants, the beach, and entertainment, a car is really not needed.

Clearwater Beach quickly became one of our new favorite spots and we cannot wait to go back! Feel free to reach out for more information.
