What To Do With All Those Vacation Photos

Do you come home with hundreds of new photos your trip and no idea what to do with them all?  I always post my favorites on social media and print a few to frame, but that leaves out so many great photos.

Universal Orlando offers a service called My Universal Photos where professional photographers are stationed around the park to take your photo at attractions or with characters. When we were traveling, I couldn’t find any solid reviews of the photo package so I decided to gamble on purchasing it. I cannot describe how happy I am that I did! During our four days at Universal Studios Orlando and Universal’s Islands of Adventure, I ended up with more than 200 professional photos. You are able to download the digital copies of the photos- including ride photos which are usually hysterical. Plus, it was the only way to get our whole family in the photos. (Pro tip: Your Wishes Family Travel agent can help you add the My Universal Photos package to your vacation)

Our family trip to Universal Orlando was filled with incredible memories and photos. Between the My Universal Photos professional shots and the hundreds of photos I took with my iPhone, I knew I needed to do something special with them all!

Display Cases

Besides being a great way to show off photos, display cases give you a place to keep some of the memorable “stuff” from your trip. In my son’s display case, I included the lanyard he wore during the trip, his ticket, his first-visit button, the game card from the arcade at Loew’s Royal Pacific Resort, and some of his favorite pictures. He is a Scooby Doo superfan, so the chance to meet Shaggy and Scooby was the highlight of the entire trip for him.

Photo Books

I have always loved making photo books to commemorate trips or special occasions! Companies like Shutterfly or Snapfish allow you to upload digital photos and lay them out to create decorative pages. You can even upload a large batch of photos and the software will lay them out for you! I also scanned in the autographs the boys got while we were meeting characters. Getting to look back on the trip with physical photos (instead of on my phone or computer) is really fun for the kids. The books also make great gifts!

Photo Displays

My home office is Harry Potter and Disney themed, so it is the perfect place to display some of our Wizarding World photos. I love having the photos there with my Harry Potter books and memorabilia) to remind me of our adventures while I’m working. Plus, having the same theme of photos together makes the display feel more intentional than having them spread around my entire house.

Photo Cards

This might be my favorite way of all! Each year I order a bunch of birthday photo cards using pictures from our travels. That way I’m always ready with a birthday card when needed and it is pretty inexpensive compared to buying individual greeting cards. I’ve also made batches of thank you cards.
