Why “Ask Me First”

For people around the world, 2020 has been epic.  Epically awful. Epically stressful. Epically lonely. Epically exhausting.  Everything seems just slightly more difficult for most people.  Public health, politics, faith, communication, social media, Zoom, Facetime, celebrations, goodbyes, and everything else under the sun was more difficult.

For Wishes Family Travel, 2020 saw virtually overnight a 70% drop in income and sales because of COVID-19 travel restrictions.  The women who work with me are all highly skilled, kind, wonderfully compassionate travel professionals.  For many, the income from travel commisssions was supporting their family:  dance lessons, groceries, family vacations, monthly living expenses…now all gone.   Like you, it was a shock.  Some agents, and others all over the world, got depressed and sad at all we had lost.

But here’s what is TRUTH.  We are rebuilding!  We are rising together!  Since March we performed as each other’s counselors, confidants, cheerleaders and friends.  We had to focus on recovery.  We had to focus on what recovery will look like.

Agents in Seuss Landing at Universal Islands of Adventure

This is where “Ask Me First” comes in.  The complicated world-wide emergency created a massive workload for us.  We had to figure out how to get our guests’ money refunded (if possible).  We had to wait on hold for hours and hours.  We had to fight, cajole, and ask over and over again as we advocated for our guests.

Agency meeting at Walt Disney World Resort

The world watched.  Our clients, for the most part, were incredibly grateful to have a professional in their corner.  We worked together as a team for months for exactly nothing.  But now people who have been paying attention understand the value of using a travel professional.  Not to save money, but to have an advocate.  Things will and do go wrong.  If anything, 2020 taught us that.

Agents at Atlantis Resort, Bahamas

We didn’t cut and run.  We stayed in the battlefield working tirelessly for our guests.

Now we need everyone to ASK ME FIRST when you are planning your 2021 vacations.  We need you to help us continue to rebuild our industry, and this company in particular.  So, BEFORE you book that (whatever that is) online – ASK US FIRST.

Agents training together at Sandals South Coast in Whitehouse, Jamaica

We can help you with destinations around the world.  We are experts in Family & Romance Travel.   If you want to be a part of our recovery and receive exceptional, professional Vacation Experience Architect planning at no additional cost – ASK US FIRST.

We may be able to price match, and we will definitely give remarkable service supported by the truth so you can make great decisions.

We need you.  You need us.  So please ASK US FIRST before you book yourself online or direct.  Give us a chance to serve you.
