You can’t get into CRT, now what?

Erica Kocher9/17/19Every princess wants to eat at Cinderella’s Royal Table to meet Cinderella and the other princesses, or sometimes just for the experience of eating inside of the castle. This is one of the hardest reservations to make because of its popularity. Not to take anything away from eating at Cinderella’s Royal Table because it is truly a magical experience, but there are several options to meet the princesses at character dining experiences if you miss out on getting an elusive CRT reservation.f-26-15-13166036_wVvtUPYy_CRTblogPicMy family’s personal favorite is Akershus Royal Banquet for Princess Storybook Dining located in the Norway pavilion at Epcot. The princesses are there for all three meals. Upon arriving, you are greeted by Belle in her beautiful, yellow gown for a picture. As you are enjoying your meal, a few other princesses come around to each table for pictures and autographs. If you have a picky eater, I would recommend getting a breakfast reservation. It is a family-style meal that everyone will enjoy. The meals at lunch and dinner are more traditional Norway cuisine.f-26-14-13166036_dEjjseXj_AkershusBlogPicThe newest experience to meet two popular princesses, Ariel & Rapunzel, is the Bon Voyage Adventure Breakfast at Trattoria al Forno, at Disney’s Boardwalk Resort. Along with the princesses, you get to meet Prince Eric & Flynn Rider. This is a great option with families with boys & girls because it’s not strictly princesses. Flynn Rider is such a funny guy that he will have your whole family laughing. The meal choices here are amazing and it is hard to choose what you want to eat. With choices like King Triton’s Shipwreck al Forno, Tangled eggs, and Royale Breakfast, you can’t go wrong. The only thing I would suggest with this dining experience, is to allow yourself plenty of time. We were at the restaurant for almost two hours for our meal.f-26-19-13166036_wbrLvRti_BonvoyageBreakfastBLOGpic_MsKvIf Cinderella is your favorite princess, then 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian Resort has the character dining experience for you! Cinderella’s Happily Ever After Dinner hosts Cinderella, Prince Charming, Lady Tremain, Drizella and Anastasia come around to each table to greet their guests. Dinner is the only meal that you can meet Cinderella & her family. In the morning at 1900 Park Fare, you have the opportunity to meet Mary Poppins, Alice, Mad Hatter, Pooh & Tigger. Both of these character meals are not just tasty, but also entertaining. I am a hard-to-please critic when it comes to buffet meals but both of meals served at 1900 Park Fare are wonderful choices. If you are not in the mood for a full meal, another fun experience is My Disney Girl’s Perfectly Princess Tea Party located at the Garden View Tea Room at the Grand Floridian Resort. This afternoon tea is hosted by “Rose Petal,” a magical rose from Princess Aurora’s garden.   All princesses attending are encouraged to dress up as their favorite Disney Princess, and will be served apple juice “tea,” fruit, an assortment of sandwiches, and Princess Cake. This afternoon tea also comes with gifts to take home to as keepsakes. Princesses (ages 3 to 9), receive a special Princess Aurora doll dressed in a gown, a princess tiara, a silver princess bracelet, a princess necklace, a fresh rose, a special princess sticker page, “Best Friend” certificate, and a princess cinch bag. Young princes who attend the tea will receive a princely sword & shield, a souvenir pin, a plush Disney bear, and a “Best Friend” certificate. If your child is over under age 3 or over age 9, you can pay an additional fee and they can take home the same keepsakes. As you can see, while Cinderella’s Royal Table is a fantastic meal and character experience, there are many more options at Walt Disney World to choose from. I would love the opportunity to help you find the best experience for you and your princess or prince! Are you thinking about a visit to Walt Disney World?
