5 Things to Consider When Choosing a Disney Resort

So you have decided to go to Walt Disney World and stay right in the middle of the magic.  Congratulations!   After choosing how many and which days you will be staying, you will need to select the right resort for your magical stay.  There are several factors that can influence this decision.  These are just few things to think about and each one will have a difference importance depending on what your family values for vacation and what your needs are.

1.) Room Type: What types of rooms does the resort have?  How big are they?  How much time will you spend in the room?  Do you have anyone if your party with specific needs?  Do you need a room that is handicapped accessible, has a fridge, or microwave?  Do you need extra room for a Pack’N’Play or for a toddler to run around?  Would it be better to have a room closer to the bus stop and lobby?  Does the resort have themed rooms? This is an example of a pirate themed room at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort. If so, what are those themes and are those themes ones you or your children would like?

2.) Amenities: What else does the resort offer? Fishing? Biking? Other recreational activities?  Pools? Playgrounds? Childcare?  What types of restaurants does the resort have? Both table and quick service?  Does the resort offer quiet pools or adults only areas?  Does the resort offer childcare options or Kid’s Clubs’? Does it have everything you need for your business conference or banking needs?

3.) Cost: What is your budget? Do you know your maximum?   Would you like to stay for more nights in a less expensive room?  How much of factor is cost?  Do you have room to wiggle a little? Are there any discounts available for your time of travel?

4.) Transportation: Buses, does the resort share a single bus or does it have its own bus?  Is there more than one type of transportation?  What are those other types of transportation and will the people in your party use that type of transportation ?For example, some people are afraid of heights and  might not want to use the sky liner ?  How easy are the different types of transportation to access?  Where do the different types of transportation go?

5.) Location: Where is the resort located?  What is it close to?  What area is it in?  How close is it to the things that are most important to you?  Are those things close enough to drive to?  Is it conveniently located to where you want to be?  Another important thing to consider, is how big is the resort?  Is it spread out or are things close together?

These are just a few things to think about and consider when looking at which resort to select.  They will differ in importance based on what matters most to you and your family.  You all should discuss these and rank them according to your preferences.  I would love to discuss these and other details of building your dream vacation.  Please follow me on Facebook at : https://www.facebook.com/tmorse.wft, Instagram at: https://www.instagram.com/tiffanym_wishesfamilytravel/, tiffm@wishesfamilytravel.com or 678-770-4144.  I would love to hear from you and help your family plan their next magical vacation.
