Coronado Springs Resort
Megan KlineNovember 3, 2016My family and I recently stayed at Disney’s Coronado Spring’s Resort. My husband and I have two young children - a boy who is four and a girl who is one. I was a little nervous considering Coronado is also home to a convention center. I was pleasantly surprised that it takes on the role as a family friendly resort first and convention center second. It is distinctive among the Walt Disney World Resort's moderate resorts for its high level amenities and spacious rooms. Even though we were in the same resort with business travelers I did not see one during our whole stay.Coronado Springs has a beautiful American Southwest and Mexican theme. It is definitely a large resort with three architecturally different areas. We stayed in Casitas number 4 with a parking lot view. (I did love being in the corner room though.)The theme in the room was not your normal, fun kid-friendly design like you would find in the value resorts. It did have several hidden Mickeys that gave just the right touch of magic. Our room had two queen size beds, a desk and two chairs, a separate sink and bathroom area that could be closed off. This set up is very helpful if you are using the bathroom or shower area after the little ones are asleep. The resort has several restaurants and other exciting amenities—one of them being a spa. The hands-down most exciting thing about Coronado is the pool area! They have a gorgeous main pool area with the focal point definitely being the Mesoamerican pyramid. The pool area is complete with a kid-friendly playground called the “dig site.”Coronado Springs is located in the Animal Kingdom Resort Area, and it was a short bus ride to all of the parks. There are four bus stops that are close to each of the 3 different room areas, and one near the main lobby. Overall, we enjoyed the fun atmosphere at Coronado Springs and would stay there again. If you are a family who loves the extra amenities and a lavish pool area, this is a great resort choice! If you have any questions about Disney’s Coronado Springs or any other Disney related topicsEmail Megan Or check out her WFT Facebook Page, and Coronado Springs.
