Dinner at Be Our Guest Restaurant
Stephanie Peavy4.5.19I recently had the opportunity to dine at Be Our Guest in the Magic Kingdom. I had eaten there before, but this was the first time with the new three course menu. The French inspired cuisine was absolutely delicious. The three courses consist of an appetizer, entrée, and a dessert trio. The ambiance of the restaurant is very subdued and inviting. There are three rooms to choose from and they are all equally beautiful. You can dine in The Grand Ballroom, the West Wing, or The Castle Gallery. I chose the Castle Gallery where there is a huge statue of Belle and Beast dancing in the center of the room. I was already impressed, and I had yet to eat the first bite of food.My first course of the evening was French onion soup and it was to die for! The onions in the broth were very flavorful and were further enhanced by the mound of cheese melted over the top. I could have made a meal out of that alone. The main course I chose was the filet mignon. It was so tender I could cut it with a fork. It was accompanied by garlic potatoes and green beans; all delicious. To end the scrumptious meal, I had a trio of desserts that included a macaroon, white chocolate chip mousse (with the grey stuff), and a dark chocolate truffle. It was a perfect way to conclude a perfect meal. After dinner, I was able to take part in a character meet and greet with Beast. He is available for photos on the way out of the restaurant. My overall experience was a positive one. I would recommend it to future vacationers, but I doubt that I will do it a second time. Even though the atmosphere, food, and character experience were all good, I’m still unsure if it is worth two dining credits. I have had similar experiences at one dining credit restaurants, so I think I will stick with those in the future. If you are looking for something new, I would definitely suggest giving it a go. I am always game to try something new at Disney.
