Aunty's Beach House at Aulani, A Resort and Spa in Ko Olina Hawaii

Missy Ryan4.6.19After touring Aunty’s Beach House in Aulani I am convinced that my kids would never want to leave. To be honest, as I was touring it, I didn’t want to leave!!Aunty’s is a kids club located on property for ages 3-12. Children must be potty trained to attend Aunty’s. The best part is this a FREE program while you are visiting Aulani!! Parents should be prepared to sign up in advance to ensure their space. If you missed out on securing your time prior to you can always go upon opening to see if there are spots left for the days and times you would like. You may even visit with your child to feel it out and see if he/she likes the environment before drop off. Aunty’s invites parents each morning to a short open house from 8 am-9:30 am that allows their child to explore and meet the team. Parents are encouraged to come in and ask questions as they decide if this is the right fit for their child.Once your child is signed up you may pick days and hours to visit. They can use this time as their free play while you can relax, decompress or sneak in a quick date. It’s a win-win for everyone involved.Upon arrival you and your child are required to check in at the front desk. Your child is then given a Keiki band. If you have been to Walt Disney World or on a Disney Cruise they are identical to those bands. A staff member will upload your child’s information. The band will be their tracker as they explore several rooms including art rooms, dress up, game room, outdoor play and more. The tracker will allow staff members to know exactly where your child is while they visit the Beach House. Parents (or adult in charge) will also be provided with a password that is also required at pick up along with their resort room key. This is to ensure the safety of the children while they are being supervised by Aunty’s trained staff.Each room at Aunty’s is inviting and engaging on several levels. When you walk into the main room you and your child will be greeted by the staff with warm smiles and conversation. Children are invited to explore and get involved in open ended activities. Tables are filled with markers, pens, paper and paint. Upon the walls in the imagination room you can find princess dresses of all styles and sizes. Books by the dozens and would put any modern day Belle in book heaven.Head down to the other side for the older children and you will find Uncles. Board games, movies, video games and art room are all part of this amazing side of Aunty’s.Outside is a climbers dream. Several options to run, jump, dance, slide and enjoy the fresh air Hawaii has to offer.Each day snacks are provided and children are treated to goldfish, graham crackers and milk.
