Disney Cruise Part 2

After eating a delicious lunch, I couldn’t wait to check out my stateroom! My room was located on deck 10 in the aft (back of the ship). It had an oversized balcony with a few loungers, a table, and additional chairs.  The room also had a split bathroom which was very convenient. Behind one door was a shower and sink area. Behind the other door was a toilet and sink. This meant that if someone was in the shower, you could still use the other area with the sink. The room had a queen bed, a sofa that converted to a bed, and a pulldown berth located at the top.

There was plenty of storage located throughout the room. There was a large closet with lots of hanging space and hangers. It contained a safe to store any important documents, jewelry, or other valuable items. There was a large desk with writing area that you could have easily used as a vanity. Plenty of outlets were scattered around the room to plug in phones, iPads, laptops, and blow dryers. The television had a channel that was dedicated to upcoming events during your stay and all announcements.

In the afternoon I got ready for my first muster drill. I quickly found out that this drill is taken very seriously by Disney Cruise Line. What exactly is a Muster Drill? It’s a very important but simple drill in case of an emergency. First, you are informed where you need to show up. Once you arrive, you find the section that is assigned to you. Each section has a cast member who is in charge and tells you were to stand. The cast member walks you through what you need to listen for, where you need to meet, and what to do.  In fact, I still remember what you need to do in case of an emergency. Grab a life jacket, a change of warm clothes, and any important medication. Now that I was prepared in case of an emergency, my concerns about cruising had completely disappeared and I was ready to enjoy my vacation!

This review is based on a recent Disney Cruise in 2019.  While on location I did not receive any discounts. This is my unbiased opinion. If you have any question, feel free to contact me at lperna@wishesfamilytravel.com Follow me on Facebook and Instagram
