Disney Snack Credits

Leslie Bowman3.14.19Have you wondered what to do with the snack credits that are included with Disney Dining Plans? Each of the plans (Disney Quick Service Dining, Disney Dining and Disney Deluxe Dining) include 2 snacks per day per person on the dining plan. You might consider opting for a bottle of water or soda or a basic snack such as a bag of potato chips, but there are many options for using snack credits.A snack is typically an item that is considered a single serving. It would not include items that are considered more than a single serving, items served in a souvenir container or considered to be merchandise. Some options available are:Dole Whips! One of my favorites is available at Aloha Isle and Sunshine Tree Terrace in the Magic Kingdom, at Pineapple Lanai at Disney’s Polynesian Resort and the food court at Pop Century. Try a Dole Whip Float or Dole Whip Pineapple Upside-Down Cake.Ice cream sundaes and sandwiches: Plaza Ice Cream Parlor in the Magic Kingdom has a variety of tasty treats such as brownie sundaes, apple blossom sundaes, ice cream cookie sandwiches and (wow!) a doughnut sundae! The ice cream cookie sandwich is made with homemade cookies and is also available at Sleepy Hollow at MK, Hollywood Scoops at Hollywood Studios and Dino Bites at the Animal Kingdom. There are many delicious ice cream flavors at Ample Hills Creamery at the Boardwalk Resort including Peppermint Pattie and Ooey Gooey Butter Cake. My husband and I enjoyed a delicious sundae there this summer! At L’Artisan des Glaces in the Epcot World Showcase you may enjoy a yummy ice cream cone or a French macaron.f-26-15-12529748_0LvM3FZv_Brownie_sundaeSpecialty Cupcakes: There are many varieties of extra-special cupcakes available around the Walt Disney World resort. Try a chocolate peanut butter cupcake or Butterfinger cupcake at Starring Rolls Café at Hollywood Studios. I saw several cupcake varieties during our stay at Disney’s Polynesian Resort, including the rose gold cupcake. Try the new Toy Story cupcake at Catalina Eddie’s at Hollywood Studios.Bakery items: Les Halles Boulangerie in the Epcot World Showcase offers many French delights including napoleons, eclairs, crème brulee and parfait aux fruits (a yogurt mousse with berries) as well a variety of delicious croissants and breads. A chocolate crepe from Crepes des Chefs de France at Epcot would be a delicious snack option! Try an enormous cinnamon bun at Gaston’s Tavern at the Magic Kingdom or a Mickey waffle topped with strawberries and whipped cream at Sleepy Hollow.f-26-14-12529748_a2Ns09pT_Beignet_sundaeNon-sweet food items: Pulled-pork cheese fries at Flame Tree Barbeque at Animal Kingdom make a delicious and almost meal-sized snack. My daughter tried the Poutine at Epcot at the Refreshment Port. These are a Canadian specialty of French fries topped with cheddar cheese curds and gravy. They’re delicious!Other snack options include classic Disney treats such as Mickey Pretzels, churros and Mickey premium ice cream bars and specialty (non-alcoholic) coffees, teas and hot chocolates. A favorite beverage is the signature beverage at Pongu Pongu in the Animal Kingdom-the Night Blossom, which is layers of Apple and Desert Pear Limeade topped with Passion Fruit Boba Balls (they pop and are filled with fruity liquid). There are so many fun ways to use your snack credits so venture out and see how many magical options you can try the next time you visit the Walt Disney World resort. Happy Snacking!
