Disney Trips as an Adult

By: Dana Munoz9/13/18When most people hear the word “Disney”, the first thing they think of is kids. They think of characters, rides, autograph books, Mickey ears, and the many other things children normally love about Disney. While I know there are some others like myself out there, very few people hear the word “Disney” and think “wow, what a nice adult vacation that would be”.IMG_3014My husband and I are big Disney people. It has honestly always been one of the things we connected on since we first started dating. We both grew up taking trips to Disney, and love the nostalgia and happiness it brings us. When I decided to become an agent with Wishes Family Travel, one of my biggest goals was to show and teach people that Disney can be for adults, too!Admittedly, my husband and I love all of the typical “Disney” things such as the characters and rides, but Disney trips are so much more than that. If you and your spouse, partner or friends are people that enjoy adventure, there is something for you in the thrill rides. If you are people who enjoy food, there are plenty of gourmet and exciting options for you to try such as Victoria and Albert's where you can have a private meal, brought to your table by the chef himself. Disney is not all about the parks, and offers many wonderful, classy, relaxing resort options. Take the Polynesian Resort for example- can you say beautiful, tropical, oasis?!IMG_7059My husband and I have been to Disney 3 times together, and each trip has served a different purpose and has presented us with different experiences. Our first trip, we really pounded the pavement and did all that we possibly could. We took a long weekend and had 12+ hour park days. We ate quick service meals at some tasty places! We skipped the character greetings, and made it our priority to get on all the rides, more than once! Our second trip, we slowed down a lot. We had several nice table service meals, tried to focus on one park per day, relaxed at the resort, and took our time throughout the parks trying new snacks and new experiences. We met some of our favorite characters which is fun, even as an adult. We also got engaged on this trip which is a really special memory! Our 3rd trip together was for part of our honeymoon, and we experienced Disney in ways we never had before. We stayed in a resort we had never been to, tried new, signature dining locations, enjoyed spa time, and spent time at our resort pool. On this trip, we also enjoyed shows, fireworks, and bars/lounges that we never had before. It has been almost a year since this trip, and we already have another trip booked with 2 friends who are new to Disney! Our experiences go to show you that you can have a different experience at Disney every time you go. If you want to have a trip where you meet characters, go on all of the rides, eat lots of Mickey ice cream, and bring our your “inner kid”, you can do that. If you want to stay at a beautiful, deluxe resort enjoying pools, spas, drinks, gourmet food and relaxation your entire trip, you can do that. If you want to spend time seeing shows, shopping, taking tours, and visiting different resorts, you can do that. If you want to do a bit of everything, guess what- YOU CAN DO THAT! The options are endless, and there are so many ways I can help you create a Disney vacation that fits your needs. For us, what sets Disney apart from other vacation destinations is their world class service. Not only are there so many options of things to do while on property, but at Disney, you can rest assured knowing that you are getting the best possible value. Cast members are kind and helpful. The resorts and parks are clean and well kept. The cast members truly make you feel welcome, and show you how happy they are to have you there. If you are there to celebrate something, they make it extra special. A vacation is a big investment, and I like to know that while we are on vacation, we will be treated well- or in this case, treated like a Disney Prince and Princess ☺Please visit my Facebook to learn more about me, and to chat about your Disney experiences! dana@wishesfamilytravel.com
