Food and Wine - The Disney Way

By: Lindsay Bakken9.18.18The Food and Wine Festival is arguably one of Epcot’s most popular events. Who doesn’t enjoy some food and drink while touring the world? The festival typically begins the end of August and runs through mid November. It is a great time to visit the World Showcase! Not only for the entertainment, but also to be able to try new food that you wouldn't normally find in Epcot. When walking into the park, be sure to grab a list of events and a map to show where each kiosk is located and if there are any special events throughout the day! I have a few tips below for you and your family when it comes to planning your day at Epcot’s Food and Wine Festival. Choose Your Day Wisely! If your Disney vacation includes weekdays, I recommend attending the Food and Wine festival during that time. While this is your vacation, it’s the weekend for local Floridians! Expect larger crowds Friday, Saturday and Sunday (especially in the evenings)! Snack Credits! For guests staying on property and who are enjoying the dining plan, you can use snack credits at the kiosks! Kiosks are stands that are set up around the World Showcase. Here you will see a menu like the Morocco one shown. Look for the snack symbol to know if your choice counts as a snack credit! The snack symbol will be posted next to the menu items. Generally, anything under five dollars will count towards a snack. If you plan to tour the world, you can “save” your snack credits and use them here! Kids Can Enjoy Too!The Food and Wine Festival is not only for adults! Ratatouille’s Hide & Squeak was back for another year. It is a scavenger hunt the family can enjoy together. You will first need to purchase the map and stickers. They can be purchased at Disney Traders, Festival Center, and Pin Central. I would love to share more tips and help plan your vacation! My travel planning services are free!
