Disneyland Hotel

Location, location, location. If you are wanting to be steps away from the magic at Disneyland California, look no further than the Disneyland Hotel. Its prime location allows you to easily access both parks, Disneyland and Disney California Adventure Park, as well as Downtown Disney, which is a lively district featuring shops, restaurants, and entertainment.

The Disneyland Hotel is the original hotel at Disneyland Resort, with theming inspired by the parks lands along with Disney history sprinkled throughout. The hotel offers a range of rooms and views situated within three towers, Fantasyland, Adventureland, and Frontierland. In fall of 2023, The Villas at Disneyland Hotel will be welcoming guests and serve as a location for Disney Vacation Club members and those who are wanting to experience the new rooms.

When it comes to dining, there are several options available. A personal favorite is Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar. Offering panko-crusted long beans, teriyaki chicken, and pork gyoza. You can’t miss their legendary beverages such as Shipwreck on the Rocks, Krakatoa Punch, and Zombie. Children in your party? Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar also offers a children’s menu.

Another favorite of mine is Goofy’s Kitchen, a popular character dining experience. Guests will enjoy a buffet-style meal while interacting with Goofy, Mickey, Chip n’ Dale, Minnie, and Pluto. Reservations are encouraged and can be made for breakfast or dinner.

If you are needing to get going in the morning visit The Coffee House located in the courtyard of the resort. Serving many of your favorite caffeinated beverages as well as fresh fruit, breakfast pastries, and more.

Like many Disney resort hotels, you will find enjoyable amenities to take your vacation to the next level. I highly recommend planning a day or just a few hours by the E-Ticket Pool. The pool pays tribute to the park’s early days. Located in the resort courtyard, the pool features two Monorail waterslides, 2 mini waterslides, pop jets, and fountain. You can lounge away in a complimentary lounger or, for an additional fee, reserve a poolside cabana. Cabanas include 2 lounge chairs, love seat, sofa, LCD television, complimentary fruit platter, and more. Other great resort amenities include: next day package delivery, early park entry, and spa treatments at Tenaya Stone Spa at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa.

With Disneyland being the original Disney Park, it is a must do! Both parks offer a range of experiences for everyone. Disneyland is significantly smaller than Walt Disney World in Florida and is a great option for first timers, those with young children, or looking for a shorter vacation.
