Eating Your Way Through Magic Kingdom

Kelly Rodriguez5.3.19First time guests often ask me if Disney is just your typical pizza, chicken fingers, burgers and hot dogs? So, I figured I’d share with you some of my favorite picks from Magic Kingdom! For breakfast for us it’s a no brainer - we head straight to our favorite breakfast spot, Sleepy Hollow, of course! We start our day off with our favorite waffles. Whether they’re covered in chocolate hazelnut spread and fresh fruit, or strawberries and whipped cream, or plain with just powdered sugar, this is my family’s favorite!! You can enjoy an iced coffee, orange juice, chocolate milk, milk, hot cocoa, tea, or hot coffee if you’re there on a chilly morning. They even have Odwalla lemonade with wildberry foam. This is a popular stop so make sure you get there early to avoid the lines!f-26-14-12913333_IRQMrQr7_kr_shAnother popular favorite of ours is Gaston’s Tavern. A great use of snack credits is to try their cinnamon roll, make sure you try the Lefou’s Brew with it!For a snack, stop at Aloha Isle to cool down and try a Dole Whip – yes, the pineapple is worth all of the hype! The pineapple float is my favorite, but they also offer a pineapple upside down cake or pineapple ice cream. For a limited time they have the Hei Hei cone. This is on my list for May! It’s a blue cone filled with a layer of pineapple Dole Whip, raspberry soft serve, sugar piece eyes and a sour candy bomb. If you don’t have snack goals, are you even doing Disney right?f-26-19-12913333_BmGwKMj4_kr_dwFor lunch we love to ride Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and Splash Mountain and then head to Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn! My favorite dish here is the fajita platter, and I usually get double chicken. They have a nice toppings bar where you can load up with salsa, sour cream, and cheese (they have a very extensive menu online for allergies, too, which I totally appreciate). Afterwards we then find and a spot and catch the parade right after since it starts over in that area. Some other lunch favorites are Cosmic Ray’s. Oddly, Disney doesn’t have pickles many places and sometimes I just crave a good cheeseburger with pickles. I love that they have a toppings bar here, too. We love Harbour House for some fresh fish options. If you want to watch the It’s a Small World ride, go by check out Pinocchio’s Village Haus and asked to be seated by the window for a unique experience while eating lunch or dinner. Casey’s Corner is also a wonderful place for a late lunch because if you can get a table you can eat lunch while the parade is going by!A couple more musts while at Magic Kingdom is a Mickey Mouse ice cream bar, Mickey pretzel and cheese and also stopping at the confectionary for a Rice Krispie to take home or a caramel and candy covered apple! Are you full yet? There’s still dinner!!!f-26-15-12913333_WF2h2OvZ_kr_cpMy personal favorite dinner spot inside Magic Kingdom is Crystal Palace! It always has something even my pickiest eater will be satisfied with. I love a good buffet because we can dig right in and not have to wait for our food, meet some awesome new friends like Pooh, Eeyore, and Tigger, and then walk right back onto Main Street! After dinner we hit some more rides and then grab a snack mostly to keep the little ones entertained for the fireworks. On my bucket list is the dessert party for Happily Ever After!Well, I hope that didn’t make you too hungry but more excited for your visit to Magic Kingdom!
