Getting to the Magical Express
Leslie Dinunzio1.24.19How do I get to the Magical Express? That’s an often-asked question, particularly by those who have never been to Orlando International Airport before. Finding your bus to Walt Disney World couldn’t be simpler, and this short post will give you a simple overview to walk you through navigating the airport. When you deplane, follow the signs towards baggage and you will be led to a tram. This takes you over to another part of the airport where transportation and baggage are located. The tram is affectionately known as the “mini monorail” by those who have ridden it many times before. Once you exit the tram, you will go to the central area where you will see shops, security lines, seating and arrival/departure boards. On either side of that area, there will be a red “A” and a green “B”. Walk towards the B as Magical Express is located on that side of the airport.Remember if you attached your yellow baggage tags at your home airport, you can completely bypass Baggage Claim (as long as your flight arrives between 5am-10pm, otherwise you do need to collect your own bags first) and head straight to the busses. Take the elevator/escalator to level 1 and follow the signs for Magical Express. If you have your Magic Bands tucked in your carry-on, now is a great time to pull them out as you can use a band to scan for Magical Express reservation when you arrive at the kiosk. After scanning your band, you will be led to the appropriate bus to head to your resort and your magical Disney vacation can officially begin! It’s a short approximate 30 minute ride from the airport to Disney property. The busses are comfortable and there is a Disney overview movie to watch along the way.Your Wishes Family Travel agent will assist with ensuring your reservation for complimentary Magical Express transportation is fully set up. I would be happy to help discuss your Disney trip at Leslie@wishesfamilytravel.com
