Disney's Art of Animation Resort

Kelly Rodriguez1.26.19Disney’s Art of Animation Resort will leave you fully immersed in your favorite Disney movie – whether that is Cars, Lion King, Finding Nemo or the Little Mermaid!f-26-15-12527721_kFZxoBho_aoa_roomFamily suites – which come themed as Cars, Lion King, or Finding Nemo – hold up to six guests, plus one child younger than three in a pack and play or crib. These suites are 565 square feet, and include a bedroom and living area with sleeping spaces (in the form of murphy bed and sleeper sofa.) There’s also two bathrooms.Standard hotel rooms with two double beds are themed as The Little Mermaid. One of our favorite parts of staying at the resort was wandering the hotel grounds and seeing some of our favorite characters from the movies! My personal favorite was the Cars section – it looked like you were walking through Radiator Springs. We stayed in the Finding Nemo section, which is where you will find the Big Blue Pool. This zero entry pool has music playing under water. There’s also a splash area for kids, and a small playground area.f-26-14-12527721_93DtaKxW_aoa_pool2When you walk into the hotel lobby, the desks are a rainbow of colors, which was super fun. You will see sketches of some of your favorite Disney characters up on the wall. There is a huge store area with souvenirs and essentials, and the food court area has smoothies that count as a snack credit (my kids enjoyed that!) One other aspect that my husband and father really enjoyed was that the pool bar stays open until midnight, so after the kids went to bed we snuck back down there while grandma stayed with the kids! The bar offers a place to watch games and enjoy adult beverages.f-26-19-12527721_qJq8GJd3_aoa_poolAlthough the lines seemed long at the bus stop, they had the double buses that were coming pretty quickly – every 5 to 10 minutes. If you’re looking for a fun resort for your bigger travel party, then I highly recommend Art of Animation!
