Guilt Free Parents Night out at Pixar PlayZone!
Lindsay Bakken11.6.18Just because you are at Disney World doesn’t mean you can’t have a parents night out. But what do you do with your kids? Disney’s newest addition; Pixar PlayZone at the Contemporary Resort is a great new option! This was one of my kids’ favorite thing they did on the whole trip. When we went to pick them up they asked if they could go back every night! I couldn’t believe what I was hearing.First, we were asked to fill out their food request. That’s right, dinner and snacks are included. They had the option of chicken fingers, flatbread pizza, and macaroni and cheese, plus a side of applesauce, carrots, or grapes and a dessert - cupcake or chocolate chip cookie. They also could choose a snack for later in the night; rice cereal treat, white cheddar popcorn, or Goldfish crackers.Once all the paperwork was filled out they could head back. They must stop at the “decontamination” area to wash their hands. The decontamination area looks like it’s from Monsters Inc. and Boo’s door is in the background. I was able to go back and check out the area where the kids would be hanging out, but pictures were not permitted. The walls are filled with video games, imagination play area, books, coloring, and a dance floor. The Nightly Schedule:
- 6:00pm: Intro and meet and greet with the cast members in charge and other children.
- Video Game/free play
- Dinner
- Woody’s Roundup with Woody and Jessie!
- Video Game/Free Play
- Incredibles Dance Party with Mr. & Mrs. Incredible!
- 10:30pm: Pick up
When we went to pick up the kids at the end of the night, we were able to go in and watch the end of the dance party. And who was leading the conga line? Mrs. Incredible herself! The kids couldn’t believe that they were able to just hang out with Woody, Jessie, Mr. Incredible and Mrs. Incredible. At first, I felt a little guilty for leaving them there and not spending more time with them. But, it was truly one of their most favorite things on the trip. And to top off the end of the night, each child receives a bag at the end of the night with some gifts inside. For more information on how to add this experience to your next trip, contact me at (734)693-3158 or email Lindsay@wishesfamilytravel.com.
