House of Blues in Disney Springs

I have eaten at a lot of Disney restaurants over the years, but I have to say that House of Blues in Disney Springs is one of my family’s favorites. Everything from the ambiance to the food and service, everything is spot on. It has been a pleasurable experience both times I have been there. Being a family with two teenagers, to say I have picky eaters is an understatement. It is very difficult to find a restaurant that everyone approves of.

My first visit to House of Blues was pre-Covid. There were more menu options to choose from then. This was the biggest difference. While my husband was thrilled with all of the beer choices, my kids were equally enthusiastic about the dessert choices. I think I was the only one there for the main course. As soon as we were seated, our server quickly arrived. She had extensive knowledge of their different beer choices and recommended a few to my husband. He was hooked from then on. As we perused the menu, I quickly noticed that there were many different options and was excited that everyone could find something to their liking.

We ended up having four different dishes, but all equally delicious. The teens had fried chicken and brisket tacos, while my husband had an enormous burger and I had chicken fried steak. The entrée was great, but it was the side dish that had me raving. I had never had street corn on the cob and I really have been missing out. I managed to eat mine and one of my teens as well. It is corn on the cob rolled in a spicy chili powder rub, sour cream, mayo, and cotija cheese.  I would go back for that dish alone. My girls ended the meal with a skillet cookie sundae. They indulged a little too much and paid the price for the next hour. They did say it as worth the pain, and they would eat it all over again.

My last visit was a couple of months ago during the pandemic. The food was equally as delicious, however the menu choices had decreased significantly. We weren’t able to get our favorites, but found some new ones a little outside our comfort zone. If you are traveling during this time, the loaded mac & cheese was delicious. It was your typical mac & cheese with blue cheese crumbles, brisket, BBQ sauce and crispy onion strings, so it was more than enough to be a full meal. I do feel, however, that they are steadily adding back my old favorites and should be back to a full menu shortly.

Overall, it was a great experience and I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. There is a great variety for everyone and even a great choice for a snack and a drink. Give it a try next time you are looking for somewhere different to eat in Disney Springs. You won’t be disappointed.
